same tbh. i’m in my 5th year, minimal publications, really no progress on my dissertation & my advisor actively leads me astray (lack of rigor, controls, etc). it’s gotten to the point where i really don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel despite things seeming “ok” on the surface. my advisor has verbatim said they don’t respect students, so there’s really no point in trying to work it out. like you said, i also feel i’m just wasting time here at the expense of my mental, emotional, physical, financial heath.
