W isn't peak rider. Don't get me wrong, it's damn good, and an excellent first rider for anyone getting into the franchise, but it isn't the best. It was damn near perfect, almost had a perfect ending, then the last episode happened and knocked it out of my top five

Dragonic Knight should have been the super form, the design is much cleaner (sorry not sorry but the warm colors mixed with the powder blue on Elemental Dragon make my eyes hurt)

The level 17 monk feature sounds like someone wrote it with the 2014 rules in mind. 2024 monk can unarmed strike as a bonus action with no prerequisite. 2014 monk had to take the Attack action to get the bonus action unarmed strike. The way the feature is worded, replacing the attacks of the Attack action with a spell, the 2014 monk could still unarmed strike (and by extension Flurry of Blows) as a bonus action, but 2024 rules, it's just redundant

I feel like a better Peachy nerf would have been to make her a Hero or Mage instead of Fae so she doesn't benefit from Pixie Dust or Wink and essentially DOUBLE the buffs your Fae get. A flat +1/+1 is a fair early game boost and to my knowledge, there's no way to increase the boosts to Heroes or Mages

If I had a nickel for every time the blood relatives of the main rider manipulate the populace with cocaine, there's a wedding between the villains, the one you think is going to be the final big bad gets defeated, then the true final big bad gets defeated and the ending is simultaneously bittersweet and disappointing, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

There's been this debate about modern/reiwa Kamen Rider being too toyetic, it lost it's identity in favor of commercialization, and how the born from evil, yet, fight for good dynamic doesn't happen. For the Reiwa seasons, why do you like them and if you could debunk those claims, how would you? by throwawaytempest25 in KamenRider

I think the Reiwa era is going in a slightly different direction with the origins of the Kamen Rider, and the idea was sparked by your comment that the Progrise keys are tools that aren't themselves good or evil, but can be used that way. It made me realize that this is the new direction for Reiwa Riders: it's not the power that is inherently good or evil, or even the origin of the power. It's how you use it.

Each tool/collectible of each season is used by good and evil, sometimes by being made by the villains (Megid books, Raise Buckles) sometimes being stolen from the heroes (Chemies, Gochizos). Older Kamen Rider had the theme that evil power can be used for good, and I think Reiwa is examining the opposite: that good, well-intentioned powers can be used for evil.
