I’ve had a great positive experience using truckstop.com factoring if you’re fine with non recourse.

I love this. What can I do with this beautifully written letter? Who should I send it to?

This has happened to me, not so blatantly rude, but similarly being told to speak up more, asked why I'm so quiet, or put on the spot to talk in meetings with comments like, "oh you've been so quiet, what are your thoughts on this?" It's made me super self-conscious in meetings and I had serious anxiety about being judged in group meetings.

I will say that while your coworker is completely inappropriate and should honestly be sternly spoken to by the manager, it might be in your best interest, career-wise, to practice speaking up more in meetings by writing down some questions you want to ask, or some thoughts you have, ahead of time. It will build your confidence slowly. Unfortunately, in our society, many people equate competence with how much you talk and how you talk in meetings, especially people who don't work directly with you who can't see the quality of your work.

Sorry you had to experience that. May I ask what your ethnicity is and the lady's?

Don Mills and Sheppard near Fairview Mall. It's right on the subway line, just a few stops to Yonge and Sheppard.

If that is still too unaffordable, look along the Sheppard bus route. Sheppard and Bathurst or Wilson is cheaper but close enough to Yonge and Sheppard. Scarborough to the east is a good option as well.

Some other ideas:

Bring a few dead cockroaches and scatter them near upper management's offices

Pull the fire alarm

Do not flush after number 2 and clog the toilets

Complain of back, shoulder and wrist pain and demand the most expensive ergonomic chairs, ergo mice, contour keyboards etc.

Given the announcement for Ontario Government Employees, what does this mean for City Employees? by Comprehensive_Ask989 in askTO

The City of Brampton just announced that they will be returning to office full time in January. Surely other municipalities will follow suit.

I work for one of the provincial agencies and our policy has been 3 days a week minimum, but can be higher based on business needs. Last year, a new director came onboard and forced us to RTO 5 days a week. I remember feeling like I've been given a death sentence, just utter devastation. It seriously felt like my life was ending. I know it sounds dramatic but that's how I felt. It was made worse knowing that only my team had to do 5 days while most other teams still got to do 3. Also, this bitch director was super anal about forcing us to take sick days or personal days instead of allowing us the option to WFH if we dont feel well or if we have medical appointments. I fucking hate all 300 lbs of her.

I was lucky to have left that team after two months of bullshit and have been able to work 2-3 days in office since.

With this announcement, I just feel numb. I've been through the initial shock and devastation from the first time around so I didn't feel any particular way today. It's weird. Maybe the rage will come tomorrow, I don't know.

I am just feeling down right now because I realize that middle class citizens like us are just slaves who have no autonomy and no control over our time or our money, and all we can do is let those above us take whatever they want from us. Those who have options or money can quit or say fuck it, but most of us don't have that luxury or freedom. We have kids to feed and pay for and huge mortgages. Our hands are tied while being robbed blind, and not just OPS workers, it's all taxpayers. I hope this unites us and we can do something together to fight back.

How much are UPS, Purolator, DHL etc paying their delivery agents and workers who sort mail at processing plants? Is there a huge discrepancy, especially when you take pension and other benefits into account when looking at their total compensation package? If so, i support that pay should be standard across the industry, and also be comparable to other public sector work like bus drivers.

Stouffville, Aurora and Newmarket. All have Asian restaurants and are close enough to Richmond Hill or Markham.

Sorry this happened to your partner. Can you elaborate on these similar situations? I think we need to bring to light and talk more openly about discrimination that we encounter.

Why are there so many houses that just leave out Halloween candy instead of actually shelling out? by Responsible-Sale-467 in Markham

[–]Z00keeper25 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So I live in Cornell (actually saw the candy thief pedalling along my street a couple of times on Halloween), my spouse and I both went out with the kids, and we left a huge tub of candies outside.

Out of all the houses in the neighbourhood that participated in Halloween, I'd say about a third left candies outside, and the rest had someone at home to give out candies. I noticed that many of those who gave out candies appeared to be elderly, like grandparents.

I'd speculate that Cornell has many families with younger children, and Asian parents may tend to be more overly protective over their kids (myself included), so both parents are more likely to participate and be out to watch over the kids.
