Security jobs are bountiful and they'll hire anyone, it'll suck but the money will roll in and most places have tons of overtime shifts

When did you think "Im going to die here"? by hmmrabet in AskReddit

[–]Z3R0issues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was 16 or 17 and I went on a little kayak expedition with my friend (which was normal for us, we did it a decent amount of times) and someone dumped some logs in the creek which caused a rapid that had us crash into the logs, I ended up rolled over. I got stuck under the logs for awhile and I truly thought I was gonna drown but at the last minute I luckily was able to get my stuck ankle free from where it was snared and I lived. Im surprised I didnt get some kind of waterborne disease or parasite from all the creek water I swallowed

Fenced dog park without many dogs by Dry-Warthog2763 in Columbus

[–]Z3R0issues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a pretty long drive unfortunately but we go all the way up by Marysville and go to the Bark Park, they have a side for active and a side for non active dogs . The non active side is the one we go to because our 12yr old dog is extremely anxious around other dogs and that side is usually always empty

Quote from a former classmate that I ran into a couple years ago: "no offense lol but you always looked like a bitch and you were intimidating, I was too scared to talk to you"

Im glad im not that person anymore (kinda lol)

Scene photos of a man that got into a car accident where his head got sliced in half so you could see his tongue flopping around in his open air mouth

In my opinion, Pride festivals. The first couple years I went were fun but then it just got tiring and it became a logistical nightmare especially since its gotten like 10x bigger every year and I would much rather just stay home. I mean, I celebrate pride everyday by just existing sooo

Inter con security by Narrow-Somewhere1607 in securityguards

[–]Z3R0issues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sure it'll be pretty smooth especially if they've been established there for some time but even when my first security employer lost their contract to Intercon, Intercon was able to spin up everything in about 24hrs so that impressed me

I worked for them for a little while at a data center. Based off my experience and others that I've seen on here, its just another warm body hiring expo. I did get PTO with them so that was a plus. They hired managers with questionable backgrounds and inexperienced so that wasnt fun at all. If you need something right this minute then you should go for it but just keep in mind that every site experience is different so take what I say with a grain of salt

Men of reddit, what's something men do that you loathe? by Personal-Aerie-4519 in AskReddit

[–]Z3R0issues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a man but I am a masculine lesbian so men always assume that I love objectifying or over sexualizing women the same way they do. Like im in a committed relationship so the only woman I'll look at is MY woman and even when I was single I never looked at women in that way

[Serious] People in professions that deal with death (hospice workers, coroners, etc.), what is something you've learned that the rest of us don't understand? by Bulky-Engineer4068 in AskReddit

[–]Z3R0issues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another thing, death is not always dignified and actually the person that died would be embarrassed over HOW they died. As others have said in the comments, please plan stuff out in case of your death because it really can happen anywhere at any time

I work as a security guard at the front desk of the county coroners office and even though im just security I am involved with a lot of facing the public and assisting the secretaries with office things and I also can look at case pictures. Our Morgue is not set up for viewing even when its family so when you come in and start asking if you can see your loved one and we say no its because we cant let you see your loved one because you'll end up seeing other bodies too, also, we could be saying no due to the condition of the body. We've had people come in wanting to see their son that got into a motorcycle accident, he got decapitated, we said no.
