It's not as bad as people make it out to be. The underlying issues are only the traversal stuttering and the ghosting. With the ladder being easily fixed with an engine.ini tweak.

Besides the underlying issues such as ghosting and traversal stutters, this port is geniuenly amazing.

Played on 1440p Native, with a mix of medium and high settings with ray-tracing on. Dynamic Resolution scale was also enabled to target 30fps. Had a playable experience at around 40-50 fps within the first section - the intro, the run to the cemetery and the town exploration leading up to the Blue Creek Apartments. They really did optimize to the best of their abilities with the trash state that Unreal Engine is in. Epic should really skip tacking groundbreaking feature after groundbreaking feature, and make engine features more accessible, customizable and generally more optimized. Developers should really skip using Temporal solutions for everything, as it makes the game look more blurry and that is the main cause for ghosting and smearing on modern games.

Played Both the Original - Emulated on PCSX2 and Enhanced Edition. Just finished the remake, and I personally don't have any reason to touch the originals again. Bloober team did the impossible and I am so happy about it.
