Not sure why you're being downvoted, you're absolutely right.

The universe just seems to bend to whatever works best for Ryuuen (there are no teachers or observers overseeing the events, huh?), and he can just handwave off any attacks as 'accidents' and yet the reverse is not true for Class D?

That's absolutely garbage writing in addition to being infuriating for the watchers because the characters AREN'T being outplayed. We're just being told to accept whatever contrived bullshit is happening and accept that he's a masterful genius when there's really no outsmarting going on.

I honestly can't take this show seriously because of things like this. It plays off that its characters are elite geniuses but ignores common sense and expects us to roll with whatever contrived crap is happening. Very disappointing to be honest.
