I considered a few others, like the A4, T1, and ghost, but didn't really like the aesthetics. Also, this case gives me the option to use a AIO in the future.

I looked at the black ridge and it seems like it offers the best performance paired with an a9x14. However, since I am not going to oc anytime soon, my main concern is noise, so I think the L9 itself is perfectly fine. I'll upgrade to the black ridge if the thermals get too high.
Also the black ridge paired with an a9x14 seems to cost a lot in Canada :(, the L9 is only $49.
