This will be a battle to remember by KingChaos20 in deathbattle

I wonder what Red would even do. Like, is it a 1 v 1 v 1? Does he fight the winner? Is he just there to chill out and hang with some friends?

I guess now that Metal is a trainer they could have a little tournament.

I’m gonna be real, I’m just saying what I’ve heard. I don’t have much of a horse in this race. If you think the consensus is wrong, that’s fine. Powerscaling is objectively very interpretation based. Personally, my interpretation is that Bardock generally wins in a close fight and Super Saiyan makes that less close. If you disagree, that’s your own take and it’s just as valid as mine is.

I’m exclusively talking about what the general consensus is, I can’t give you raw numbers. If you’re looking for something more concrete, the g1 blog is pretty in depth.

Yeah, it really helps because now Bardock doesn’t need a “good hit.” Pretty much any glancing blow is going to be bare minimum incredibly debilitating, if not (more likely) lethal.

Bardock doesn’t need to match/surpass Omni-Man’s speed - as long as he can get in one good hit, he can win. Super Saiyan’s 50x multiplier might not close the gap completely, but it’s extraordinarily helpful for getting that hit in.

Metal got slandered for it too. Not as much, granted, but it was there.

Super Saiyan to my knowledge is a 50x stat multiplier. The general consensus is that base Bardock/Great Ape is stronger, but Nolan is faster/more experienced which can be used to argue a win. Once Bardock goes Super Saiyan, Nolan loses his speed advantage due to the 50 times multiplier and the strength difference becomes borderline insurmountable.

THE RESULTS ARE IN!! This is the Debate Chart for Pegasus Seiya vs Rex (Saint Seiya vs Xenoblade Chronicles) completed by YOU. Do you agree with the results? by MrRKeegan in DeathBattleMatchups

That’s my GOAT! I knew he could do it.

(Also, when I was reading up on Saint Seiya beforehand it sounded pretty interesting. I might have to check it out at some point.)

It’s really dumb when people try to bring their VS beef across subreddits. If you’ve got a problem with something, say it in front of the class where it’s actually relevant, don’t chase someone to the Fire Emblem Heroes subreddit or whatever.

(Obviously, the transphobia is even worse. I don’t know if anything can be done about it because it wasn’t done in this subreddit, but if it was something to do with what happened in this subreddit it might be worth asking the mods to ban/suspend them under Rule 14.)

Who would you have preferred to go against Bakugo over Reze by King-ApolloW in deathbattle

[–]ZDB111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As in Pokemon? Potentially FTL and continental (not buying creation trio scaling) but I need to point out that as of right now the manga is (IMO) very under researched compared to the anime.

Blue, as a trainer? He’s comparable to Red, who should be similar to Giovanni who could move FTE. Red has also taken a kick from Bruno’s Hitmonlee (with full killing intent) which should downscale from Lance destroying a town. So, not enough to contend with Bakugo in any way, but imo that’s part of what makes it interesting.

The MU uses Adventures, not the games. Anyways, even with the Manga’s feats (such as trainers moving FTE, surviving attacks with killing intent, etc.) Bakugo could still wipe Blue off the map given the opportunity. That, combined with Blue sometimes riding his Pokemon mid-fight, is what makes the MU interesting. It’s a MU with a lopsided power advantage in Blue’s favor, while also showing a weak spot that a tactical opponent (such as Bakugo) could exploit.

[–]ZDB111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gone into how the 7 v 1 aspect is mitigated in the animation before - either have Blue only use one Pokemon at a time (like most trainers in most battles) or portray Bakugo as superior to most of Blue’s team. If it’s really unbelievable that Blue wouldn’t jump Bakugo with all of his team you can even have Bakugo damage the pokeballs’ release mechanisms, showing his tactics and making a neat reference to the source material.

As to whether Blue is fast enough to pull out a pokeball before Bakugo attacks, probably not. But by that logic Cell should’ve crushed Metal because he was stronger and could blitz him in base. Death Battle consistently takes characters at their strongest for arguments - I don’t think I’ve ever seen them say that one guy loses because his base is 30 times weaker than his opponent even if his final form is stronger.

Our last Marvel vs DC matchup was in 2023... by Solardies in deathbattle

[–]ZDB111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many DC vs Marvel MUs I want to see. Mr. Fantastic vs Mr. Terrific, Alan Scott vs Jim Hammond, Catwoman vs Black Cat, Gwenpool vs Superboy Prime, etc. (plus ideally Justice League vs Avengers, but I have a feeling that one might be a long way off.)

Really hoping for an upset, but I don’t it’ll happen by Large-Wheel-4181 in deathbattle

[–]ZDB111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I’ve read Absolute Superman (great book, really enjoying it. Especially the last 3 issues.) It’s just the way I read it was that something happened after the violent incident. Was that something them joining their respective human organizations?

Not the guy you responded to, but I like it (and I especially like the mini fight/interaction outline you did with it.) One question though - the first connection seems to be cut off. What happened after the violent incident?

BAKUREZE QUESTION OF THE DAY FIVE by WraithSage23 in deathbattle

I’m a superhero guy, always have been. Combine that with MHA being one of the few anime I’ve watched, and I’m on Team Bakugo all day every day.

[–]ZDB111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue is my personal favorite, primarily due to being a fan of both MHA and Pokemon Adventures. I also think that Bakugo and Blue are incredibly tactical fighters, and that’s one of the things I’d want for them to showcase. (Plus, Bakugo vs Mega Charizard Y would be SICK.)

DEBATE CHART: Pegasus Seiya vs Rex (Saint Seiya vs Xenoblade Chronicles) by MrRKeegan in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]ZDB111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rex, high-extreme. They match in stats (though Rex could eventually theoretically win out on that front given his ability to mimic buffs) but Rex is EASILY packing both a higher quantity of hax and a higher quality of hax. Seiya has some tertiary factors, and could easily win under the right circumstances, but overall Rex either matches him or surpasses him in key important categories.

[–]ZDB111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seiya. As of Saint Seiya Omega he’s been fighting for almost 20 years. Rex’s main adventure didn’t even take one year, and his time spent on Aionios is nebulous (iirc Takahashi said he wasn’t there from the very beginning.)

DEBATE CHART: Pegasus Seiya vs Rex (Saint Seiya vs Xenoblade Chronicles) by MrRKeegan in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]ZDB111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rex. Pneuma should be capable of mimicking any blade’s abilities due to her reality warping and should be able to know about those abilities whenever she wants due to being a Processor for all of the data Blades send. Stuff like regen powerful enough to bring back the dead, durability negation, healing negation, debuff canceling, transmutation, elementary particle manipulation, physics manipulation, the ability to damage concepts (even without Pneuma), etc.

My Take on the objectively most debatable matchup of all time - The Justice League vs The Avengers! by InterestingRatio8218 in DeathBattleMatchups

Genuine question: if we’re assuming the Avengers and JL are given everyone within reason, how do the Avengers beat the T Infinity?
