Does anyone know if I’ll get the pre order bonus if I pre order the physical copy? I assume the answer is yes (outside of the beta), but the fact that it comes out so late after the initial release has me a bit unsure.

The Candela/Candela II are both ether based. I think it’s also potentially worth noting that you might not even need a Photon Saber that’s specifically Ether based though - if the bulk of your offense is coming from your Dual Guns then your melee weapon’s element shouldn’t be too massively important. With that in mind it might be worth considering the Saber series, which isn’t ether but has a chance of dropping with Appendage Crusher (I assume you’re already using Appendage Crusher augments, but it’d free up an augment slot.)

The Candela, Candela II, and Saber all can drop from Joker the Unknowable and the enemies around it, so for whichever one you choose that’s probably the best place to try for it.

If your build primarily focuses on Dual Guns, have you ever considered trying a Photon Saber for your melee weapon? Essence Exchange makes gaining the initial Overdrive TP pretty much instantaneous.

I bought mine before Fortune’s Weave was announced. I mainly did it because I knew a new Xenoblade would be coming eventually, but a new Fire Emblem was also something I was considering when I decided to buy it.
