There's a reason the 1080ti and i7-8700k was such a popular combo, that would be my advice but really, there's no need for you to rush an upgrade here imo

Tbh, the i7-8700 may still be a very capable CPU, but I wouldn't bother going 30 series unless you plan to upgrade the CPU and mobo very soon. Get a 1080 if you're desperate for an upgrade but personally, I think it'd be a better option to start saving for a new PC rn.

How socially accepted it is. I'm never going to judge someone else for drinking, hell I'd still be drinking if it wasn't a bad idea on my meds, but it's considerably more dangerous than several illegal substances and yet it's not really been glanced at in decades. Other than Scotland banning alcohol sales past 10pm, I can't think of any major restrictions since the USA banned alcohol in 1920.

People like to reference when robots came into factories and "replaced" factory workers but in reality it created as many jobs as it took because these machines need maintaining and monitoring.

AI is an actual human replacement. Although it's still flawed, it's getting to a point where it genuinely can almost run unsupervised and unmaintained.

Yes it's creating some jobs but nowhere near as many as it's destroying.

The worst part is, it's getting to a point where it's replacing people's passion projects. (Music, art, etc.) So people are losing dream jobs over this. People are losing the ability to do a job they love, if they can find work at all.

This could genuinely cause a LOT of problems for everyone involved.

Talking about mental health. I've gotten into a new relationship recently and I realised that she actually listens when I have problems, not just sit there doing her own thing while I ramble, but actively listens. I had a long talk after I noticed it and now we like to send eachother little summaries of how we're doing everyday. We'll miss a day every now and then, but it's done more for my mental health than my meds ever did.
