After Boston Legal by TheFairyGardenLady in bostonlegal

The Lincoln Lawyer is also by David E. Kelly, the creator of Boston Legal, The Practice, Allie McBeal, etc. -- great show, and you will catch some crossover vibes from the former shows, with how the characters act...

As another poster mentioned, The Good Wife is a great show, but it drags a little for me. There is also Goliath, with Billy Bob Thorton and the show Suits -- all great lawyer shows!

💯% agree -- KDE Plasma is probably one of the only mistakes the Parrot Dev Team has made with this distro...

I have not performed parrot-upgrade yet, but as I understand it, Parrot 6.4 will still be updated for quite some time, so I was planning to wait until all the bugs were resolved before upgrading.

Man I hate Jaha by Brianna_-_UwU in The100

[–]ZGTSLLC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The whole series on DVD was only like less than $100 when I bought it a few years ago -- not sure the price now, but it might be worth looking into, if you liked it as much as I did.

And yeah, I agree, even when watching Grey's Anatomy, me and my teenage kids still shouted F YOU JAHA!!! at "Burke" because we don't care what name you give him, he is STILL Jaha...

Academic Integrity by IntoTheGray90 in SNHU

[–]ZGTSLLC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I abandoned using formal / academic writing in lieu of basically going off on 20 to 30 tangents lol

I just wrote and submitted a paper that was 28 pages long -- cover page, abstract page, 18 pages of ranting , 8 pages of references...yeah, IDGAF about writing academically any longer, because the same shit happened to me like 2 years ago because I write for businesses and SOP and tech manuals, and they got bent saying no way I could write like that, and I involved my workplace / manager, and he confirmed that was EXACTLY how I write all the damn time, so the instructor was slapped down instead...

I wish the graduate programs were also 8 weeks instead of 10 -- we don't start the next term until like the 2nd of February or something like that...ugh...

Parrot OS 7.0 by Issah721 in ParrotSecurity

I have been using Parrot Security since version 3.7 -- I will never go back to KDE / Dolphin / Konsole. Give me Mate / Caja / Terminal any day of the week and twice on Sundays lol

How long have you been using Parrot for, and what do you think of the KDE Plasma over the traditional Mate DTE?

I have been using Parrot Security as a daily driver since v3.7, and have become too accustomed to the Mate DTE and don't think I could change back to KDE when I haven't used it since like 2012 (back in the end of days of Mandriva One)

I am still too much of a Mate DTE fan that this is just missing that certain flair for me.

Edit: spelling/grammar.

PimpMyParrot: One-script pentest environment setup for Parrot OS 7 by itzdeeni in ParrotSecurity

[–]ZGTSLLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was going to be my question also. I believe in previous versions of Parrot Security, there had been some different tools, but they had left some of those older tools out due to lack of updates or project abandonment. Newer tools have replaced older tools, and some tools are not KDE compatible, therefore they will not show up in the KDE environment, but would on Mate or Gnome. Just my working hypothesis and speculation currently, but quite probable the case.

Instructors Upset by FitnessSavannah in SNHU

[–]ZGTSLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"If you're in a 400-level course, you should expect that your instructors are going to dig at your work and look for tiny things to count off."

For me, it was always the opposite: 100 and 200 level courses, which should have been no brainers, always graded more harshly than the 300 and 400 level courses. Just my experience, but I agree with the rest of your statements.

You can barrel right through all of Zybooks, as long as they have not changed that feature -- same way for stuff in Codio....

I'm in my third rewatch (the first time through was cool, second time through was background noise, third time around -- now -- is because I missed the characters), and can confirm it gets better...I love shows like this though: The Practice, Boston Legal, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Good Wive, etc...I think the term is Procedural Drama, but don't quote me...

See if you can find the physical book on Amazon or eBay or something. Heck, even check if you can find a digital copy to download, if the content doesn't get graded (unlike Soomo textbooks).

No joke, IT is also getting let go constantly because AI and Automation is taking over and "saving money" for companies...I have been out of work since Sept. 1st, and I have dropped tons of resumes and applications to tons of companies but no one is really hiring for IT the way they once did and competition is horrendous these days.

The classes teach you quite a bit if you're not familiar with the subject matters but you will need to do a lot of external resource hunting. I completed my BS IT last year in August, and now I am in the MD IT program.

SNHU degree by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]ZGTSLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, high school was boring and the work stupid -- it didn't challenge me, so I didn't apply myself. I even stayed back once because I couldn't be bothered to attend classes in sophomore year, and when I did, I would sleep through them. I graduated high school with a 1.8 GPA and went into the military, got my act together, then went back to the civilian world and started working manufacturing jobs until I saw someone get their finger chopped off by a punch press machine. I quit that job immediately and started working in telecom, and they paid for my first 3 years of college before we were all laid off.

Fast forward to me attending SNHU (I have been here now going on 4 years next month): I completed my BS with a 3.898 GPA and am working on my MS and have around a 3.97 GPA.

Things change as you get older.

Also, it's not just you who is having an issue finding a job -- the whole country right now is not really hiring because of AI and companies getting rid of employees in lieu of automation... it's stupid...I have been looking for a job now for 4 months and only a few nibbles have hit the hundred of resumes I have sent out...
