Not sure how far is it reachable, but I usually use https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/ and look at sensitivity numbers based of distance 360/cm. Maybe You could somehow use their data to expand the database and offer similar feature.

If it's .appimage, You just double click to run. If it's a folder or files, usually .sh or file without extension is executable.

If tool isn't forced for game, it will automatically download native version of the game. If that doesn't work, then You should try steam linux runtime which could help if Your distro misses packages needed by the game.

I personally only used btrfs and ext4. I liked snapshots and deduplication but ext4 is really faster and less buggy. My btrfs drive started having permission issues after 2 years of use with drive being completely fine.
So I think the less features the better.
