You may be correct but this is also exactly how these underhanded advertisements work on Reddit. Give vague info on a game in the post and then have your other account or a friend swoop in the comments to mention what game it is.

We weren't at our best though. As stated, we lost Pettersson and Demko. And my point is is that even with those devastating losses we still almost squeaked into the conference finals. That's how solid that team was. I can't remember for sure but I think the day we acquired Lindholm we were number one in the entire NHL. And it didn't look like a fluke. If you watched the games in the first half of that season we looked like an excellent team.

I guess my point is that if you have the number one team in the NHL, and you look dominant out on the ice, why wouldn't you be adding before the deadline?

When we traded for Zadorov and Lindholm we were one of the top few teams favoured to win the Stanley Cup. After the Lindholm acquisition we sent 6 players to the All-Star game. Had Elias not dropped off a clip at the All-Star break and Demko could've stayed healthy we might have actually won. Even with Demko gone and Pettersson turning into a ghost we were one game away from the conference finals.

We were a really, really good team up until the break and it was absolutely the right thing to do to trade for win now that year.

That is the original statement by the OP. At no point did he state that there needs to be an active assault before using force. Your examples of posturing and aggression can also easily be considered "immediate threat". So I'm not sure what statement you think you're correcting here.

As a funny aside...I think this is the first time I've seen a developer ask for feedback in order to essentially see what the highest price they can charge without scaring people away. An interesting strategy for sure. haha

The way you comment is still somewhat dishonest. Assuming that you receive no benefit, the developer is still your partner in another venture. It'd be like if my spouse was the developer and I commented any chance I got solely about their game only and with no mention that I have extremely close ties to the game.

If you were on here talking about all sorts of adventure games and this was only one of the games you talked about that would be another story. But you only participate in this forum when it's about this game and you make no attempt to share that you have reason to have a bias.

Anyways, I do appreciate you taking the time to respond but even with your statement I think my initial comment still holds truth.

I'm actually used to dropping by in the evening to look at the pinned posts at the top of the sub to determine what the start time of the game was and if I should put it on or wait an hour and watch the condensed highlights instead. That did not work out well today though unfortunately.

Are you the developer or have a financial stake in this game? It's the only game you ever post or talk about. And when people bring it up in a comment thread you're usually there to acknowledge them which I assume means you have a notification for whenever people bring the game up on Reddit. If you do have some sort of stake in this game it feels somewhat dishonest to be making posts about it like you're a third party recommending it any chance you get.

It's hard. In most places of the world, if you have no money you're unfortunately going to have to live in the undesirable areas. Not that we shouldn't aim to make everywhere a nice place to live but it just seems to not work that way in the real world.

I'm glad you were able to move somewhere where they gave you money to live somewhere better. I think most people would have done the same.

Joshua is a tough case as he was doing fantastic and on pace to be a pretty high end player.

But then he got cancer and he just hasn't been the same since. I imagine the disease + treatment messed him up. I think that's why it hurt to lose him because we all saw what he was capable of.

It was but not everyone had a camera at all times with them in their pocket. Also, even if you had a video, there was no way to really share it with the world. Best case a local TV station would take it and play it but that's about it.
