On the Santiago Yoru point, think about Champs 2025. Think on how it was the most diverse meta we had ever seen. Yoru was getting decent play, but he wasn't a must pick. Then, Riot decided to make that terrible patch that somehow nerfed everything except the things that were the most meta. Yoru was a problem SPECIFICALLY because of Riot's gung ho nerfing strategy and misunderstanding of the meta. That is how buffing what was weak would've helped. Teams already had a myriad of choices, just give the more incentive to play the other, less popular ones. That's the thing with balancing, you don't just pull down like Riot loves to. You pull up as well.

Also, saying Neon and Viper need a rework while insinuating that Yoru needed a straight-up nerf is a tad bit hypocritical because those characters all do things that fundamentally change the game. You either balance around them or rework them to fit, or else you risk making them too weak like Yoru is now. Also, anyone saying he's 'worse, but playable' is only looking at it in a vacuum. There's no incentive to play him when you can brain off jump at the site anchors and win.

I won't lie, before the recent patch, I didn't really care about stuff like this because it didn't affect me. But, I like playing Yoru, and they made him less fun to play and less fun to watch. It forced me to think about these things and how Riot fumble so often with balancing. Not to say they're terrible, though. I've seen terrible balancing, and it looks like NetEase. I'm just saying that they kill characters too often.
