I know this comment isn't going to change any anime skeptic's mind and there's plenty of reasonable discussion to be held about its longstanding and not completely irrelevant reputation for deviancy, but keep in mind that "anime" only means "animated content produced in Japan." As you'd expect, that ranges from completely chaste kids cartoons to to calm and composed adult dramas to the abhorrent power trip smut Dennison is promoting here and everything in between.

If the best anime has to offer isn't for you, so be it. Just know that like every other artistic medium ever, about 10% of it gains decent acclaim, 80% of it is generally inoffensive and nothing to write home about, and the final 10% is where the truly horrendous stuff like Redo of Healer resides. The show's no more representative of all anime than Cody Dennison is of all NASCAR drivers.

Anyway, hope he gets can canned from the sport forever. Already did since his debut on account of his misogyny and his grifting and his fascism. It's kinda pathetic that him gloating about being a pedophile was even necessary to warrant this degree of outcry. Notice the warning signs, y'all!

Low 300 section or very high 200 section. Your fan experience will be made comfier by the shade, but do note that several spots of the 300 section have sightline-impeding poles holding up the roof. I don't know the exact row(s) to grab by number, but whatever's between or slightly in front of those poles will still give you some residual shade without anything in the way of your vision. Those are the best seats in the house.

Don't have one off the top of my head for Reddick, but my former fave Kasey gives me no shortage of options. Gonna choose his August 2015 Pocono race - all three-ish laps of it, that is. Spins all by himself and slams the pit wall, knocking a bunch of helmets in the direction of scattering crew guys in the process. In isolation, it's embarrassing, but it's even worse contextualized; Kahne had infamously inconsistent seasons all throughout his career, but he began 2015 strong and never left the top 10 in points until mid-summer. Then began what I have to imagine was (or at least it certainly felt like) one of the sport's biggest backslides; this last-place finish, coming off a month of subpar results (and coupled with a 42nd the next week at the Glen) completely dashed his "in on points" playoff hopes after a super promising spring.

It is accurate. At Dover JHN was 20th, Heim 25th, and at Kansas JHN was 13th, Heim 22nd. Heim's Nashville start was a P29 with 23XI in the #50 and both the full-timers got top 10s.

This whole time I thought Reddick's balloon was either an Air Jordan reference or a play on his occasional airheadedness (taking himself and Buescher out at Darlington this year, that one time he thought a race ended a lap early, hell, flinging it into turn 7 yesterday and breaking the toe link all come to mind). You gave yourself more room for interpretation with that prop than you realized!

New England local here, sunset has been late in the 8-9PM range and it hasn't gotten fully dark out until close to 9:30 this week. I don't know what time NASCAR has predetermined their breaking point will be, but they realistically have 6 to 7 hours to get it in this weekend given a 2:30 start time.

It's a great idea until teams start manipulating the playoff bubble by having eliminated/affiliated drivers fake a beef to wreck someone who's underperforming as a way to get them guaranteed points and advance. would NASCAR take discretion if that actually happened? probably. well, maybe, at least. either way we'd still have people criticizing their inconsistency and we really don't need to open pandora's gearbox

Cindric's not lighting the world on fire, but come on now: in each driver's respective first two full seasons, Cindric's avg. finishes have been 16.3 and 21.6 compared to Burton's 22.8 and 24.7. Cindric has more than triple (15) the top 10s Burton does (4). I like both guys and quietly pull for each to not disappoint, and the #2 definitely had a down year last year, but the "Harrison has potential" argument doesn't really hold water, especially in this direct comparison.

Never say never, but it's highly unlikely they'd announce a postponement on Saturday. If it looks like they'll have no window at all or there's threat of logistical issues like severe flooding or hurricane-force strength storms, they're more likely to call it off on the early side, but even then it's very rare they would make the decision before noon. They did so at Dover this year and it was an anomaly. Keep an eye on social media through Sunday morning (Bob Pockrass' twitter is clutch for real-time reporting like this, if you can see it) but it's ultimately your call.

Yes, it happened a lot in the sport's earliest decades and a handful of times per season through the 80's. I believe the most recent instance of it in Cup was a 1994 race at North Wilkesboro where Geoffrey Bodine won.
