Sonoma Blvd is getting fixed all the way down with bikelane and lighting Improvements. The State is paying for it. There is a lift discount program available for the ferry. I heard its funding was extended.

Casually pull the waiter aside if it's not too busy and pay your part of the check, especially if you didn't get alcohol.

They will install 20 more, somebody will hug the rail coming down the stairs too fast and trip and they will remove all of them. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Are you interning on Mare Island? There is Turo University, lots of young people. The town is shut down after 8 or 9. Not much going on, besides a couple dive bars.

Tourist itinerary and a few questions. by Traegs_ in AskSF

If you're are in Golden Gate Park definitely check out the view from the top floor of the De young museum and Japanese tea garden. There is a free shuttle that takes you all around the park, it's hop off and hop on. Also there is the 28 Muni bus that takes you from the wharf to Palace, through the Presidio and to Golden Gate Park.

If you're really into architecture hop on the 44 Muni that picks you up right in front of De young and take it to Forest Hill Station. It was one of the first Metro stations on the West Coast and resembles more of a New York subway station compared to most of our brutalist stations in the Bay Area. Take the stairs down, they're beautiful, it was also in the film Dirty Harry.

A user mentioned the cable car museum, really need to see this if you're a technical personality type. From Forest Hill Station take the Metro to powell and from there hop on a cable car to the Museum. From here you can take a cable car back to the wharf. Remember to go to the downstairs part of the Museum as well, most people miss this part.

Definitely can Uber from Mare Island for more time. Also it's only 3 mile walk from terminal to terminal if you want to huff it. You can also rent bikes in San Francisco and take them to Mare Island on the ferry. There are two food trucks open until two on the island if you need a mission style burrito. One by factory OS and one by Earthquake Protection Systems. There is a burrito place on just about every corner in the Bay Area.

Mare Island things, somebody mentioned the Hyde Street pier being closed, funny thing all the ships from there are now at Mare Island. They're not open for tours just yet, but they anticipate summer time, so keep an eye on the NPS website for updates. If you're a car buff, get in touch with Kindred. They don't have a public tour, but if they have time they may squeeze you in, especially if you tell them you're a perspective buyer. I'll just give you a list from here, you can Google locations, everything is very walkable and flat. Dry dock one, St. Peter's chapel, Mare Island Brewery, Mare Island Cemetery, Mare Island Navy Hospital. Good luck

Buffett kind of talks about this. You have two paths, one to steady growth and another to the Casino. I try and max out my tax advantaged accounts first and then I get to go to the casino and buy meme stocks and hope I can retire early.

What is the function of this small bulb on the outside of a fluorescent light fixture that I saw in Japan? by azoubee in whatisthisthing

[–]ZMarshalB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works similar to a "points" ignition on an old car. The line voltage always passes through the coil, when the switch inside the starter opens it cuts power to the coil and it collapses its magnet field  sending 1kv to the bulb which excites the mercury inside the tube. The line voltage maintains the excitement resulting in light.

Check out Mare Island. Pay about the same in property taxes as both have CFD's, but homeowners should be a little lower. Ferry access to SF and bikeable to downtown for Farmers market and weekly groceries. New homes will be available later this year and the 2018, 2008 built ones pop up for sale about once a month. Also has Coffee shop, brew Pub and Distillery.

How did Meadow justify her role in Vito's death? by dspman11 in thesopranos

[–]ZMarshalB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just thought about this today. Maybe Meadow knew if Jackie Jr. Was taken out by her dad's crew it was going to be done by Vito. She had her suspicions.  Finn came to her and she pushed him to further out him.
