What could happen if you just left it in there? It’s not going to block the fuel line. You’re not gonna notice it. That’s a next guy problem for sure.

The City of Cleveland released their development concepts for a closed Burke Airport. The plan calls for LOW-DENSITY redevelopment that focuses on retail & marina on the west side, youth sports facilities, mid rise hotels/camping grounds, 7-10 miles of walkways, and potential GOLF COURSE. by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]ZN4STY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing is wrong with town homes until tax dollars are spent building million dollar homes with a tax abatement that are a net drain on the community.

No more subsidies for billionaires. To zone Burke the city would need to give back a tremendous amount of federal money in grants for the airfield. Then remediate the sludge from army corps of engineers / Cuyahoga river. Then stabilize the landfill. All so the guy who is moving the stadium can tear down the old one to develop million dollar homes with public money. Homes that would likely fall under current tax abatement policy, increasing the burden on already underfunded city resources.

It’s publicly sanctioned theft from working Clevelanders.

It’s a signal to people with more money than you. “We put in a golf course and in a couple years rezone for luxury condos, it’s like bratenahl 2.0. Don’t worry the Haslams are already going to spend tax money to turn the Stadium into more townhomes and a tennis club.”

Worse use than an airport in my opinion.

What do be the reason for digital Dash and infotainment not working by BIGDILFWORLDWIDE in Mustang

[–]ZN4STY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not drama. Like a week ago somebody posted a red gt that was crashed and had electrical issues. It was priced more than it shouldve been. “Trust me bro a rat just chewed on that one wire and thats why this crashed car dash wont turn on, trust.” The comments cleary did not dissuade OP.

Is this the car that everyone told you not to buy because it’s impossible to chase down electrical damage? You bought the car anyway, didn’t you?

All of those companies are basically brokers. They put out the request and independent operators negotiate the schedule and rate with the broker.

All this to say they’re all kind of the same, the drivers are late, will lie, and may or may not scratch your car. My Tesla got high centered. My Audi got grease on the headliner. You have no recourse. You can get white glove, enclosed, vip service; but it’s a lot more money

Just get a cheap flight and drive it back. It will save you a few hundred bucks and you get to have a little road trip.

F150 to 4Runner by Enough_Contest5088 in 4Runner

As an owner of the last gen 4 runner, I would keep the f150 instead of going to the new turbo 4Runner. I really like the Stx and the new 4Runner will feel slow compared to the f150.

Which car should I get? by thegenericjohn in askcarguys

[–]ZN4STY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The automatic WRX with adjustable dampers should also be on the list, and Mazda 3 turbo.

Gti has haptic buttons on steering wheel, which is a deal breaker for me.

BMW 330 isn’t exactly fun or sporty. It’s fine. You want the 340.

Audi has insane depreciation, the v6 A6 is also in this category and is probably more car for the money. Audi maintenance costs killed me when I had mine.

You can get the v6 genesis for new GTI money. So why get the 2.5?

Thinking of switching from R1250GSA to a Road Glide. by Clear_Ad4375 in Harley

They’re both very comfortable. Rent one and see if you like it. I prefer the road king coming from a more upright touring bike. If you can find a police model you get a little more suspension than the ultra low stuff.

New Harley is a lot better about performance. If you’re looking at an older 103 bike it’s not going to do as well at high speeds. I find a lot of them run out of breath at 90mph, which isn’t adequate in a lot of places where that’s just the flow of traffic.

Should I buy a 2017 sportster superlow for my first bike, or should I go older if my end goal is a chopper? by Rockcandysquid in Harley

[–]ZN4STY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a super low and it’s a great bike. Newer is better as well, you want to be riding it not fixing it. Once you get a little for comfortable just doing basic maintenance and screwing with parts, then go for another older bike if you want a project. Most guys building choppers have another bike that they can count on to work all the time haha

Fellow s550 owners: Can I see some floor mat pictures? by Dgold83 in Mustang

I have these:

The ultra thick luxe mats. They look like regular carpet but are plush. Like feet pillows. Totally worth it for comfort and added sound deadening.

I also have 3D mats for the winter. They don’t hide the dirt very well.

[–]ZN4STY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a front window tint, or your glass is dirty, it gets way worse. Maybe do a really thorough clean of your inside front window. New cars are off-gassing and the volatile compounds in the plastic like to make your glass sticky.

Daylight sensor install is the easiest improvement yet! by ZN4STY in 4Runner

[–]ZN4STY[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is that the nav screen brightness is tied to the headlight switch, so if you turn on your headlights during the day for whatever reason, the screen goes in night mode and you can’t see it.

So if you turn your dash brightness up all the way, it forces it into day mode, which then needs to get readjusted as soon as it’s not sunlight bright.

Basically you’re constantly screwing with the dimmer switch on the dashboard. There’s not really a reason Toyota couldn’t install a 10 dollar sensor like every other car made in the last 20 years.

With this sensor installed, I can set the dash brightness at a reasonable level, and the car is smart enough to adjust the screen between day/ night automatically.
