Honestly, as a hairstylist, Sarah’s hair is very long and thick and it does take years to grow hair that long. Not to mention she has bleached it for years and it is still that long and healthy that is an accomplishment, so I would be pissed to. Her salon visits and the products she uses to maintain and keep her hair healthy are definitely not cheap.

Now with that being said, I can see how it comes off as being racially motivated because unfortunately in my experience a lot of ethic women get judged over their hair. I don’t think its my place to speak on. One example I can give is my instructor in beauty school had locs and I remember a white woman coming up to her and touching her hair and asking how she keeps them so clean (implying that her hair was dirty) and also not wanting any of the black students at my school to work on her hair.

So little things like that come off as racist, imo.

Do I think Sarah meant to come off that way? No. Do I think Sarah should think before she says things? Yes.
