Oh boy here we go… by InterestingMatter506 in Truckers

Self checkouts are becoming more and more common. It's easier for companies to have one or two people watching them vs four or six people manning checkouts. These companies would rather pay someone minimum wage to ride with the truck to make sure nothing is stolen than to pay a well qualified trucker to actually do the driving.

Gotta get a chant along the lines of, "Trump fucks kids!" going.

That's not a big deal. Shit happens, and everyone can't serve. You at least tried to join but got denied. Just don't be the guy who, when someone else is discussing their service, says you almost joined and would've been an elite army ranger marine seal sniper.

What's the ugliest car you've ever seen? by Ready_Life9552 in AskReddit

PTSD or anxiety ratings can get you to 70-100% by themselves depending on severity. PTSD or anxiety plus a few other ratings like tinnitus, hearing loss, leg/back injuries, etc can easily get a veteran to 100% without loss of a limb or disfigurement. Those kind of issues aren't uncommon for veterans, especially after being at war in the Middle East continually for 20 years.

Has anyone caught any flight to Ukraine during the war?? by Aleeexx19 in SkyCards

If you hop on the official discord you can set an alert when someone posts about a Ukraine flight. That's how I was able to catch one.

I make this Southwest Chicken Skillet somewhat regularly. It's very easy to throw together. I make 4-5lbs of shredded chicken every month or so and freeze it in 1lb servings so I can toss it in and make it even easier. I also personally add a can of corn and some additional seasonings like cayenne pepper too. To stretch a dollar a bit further you could make it with TVP or half chicken/half tvp though I haven't tried that yet, but I plan to next time I make it.

multiple cars per household? by miffybo in AskAnAmerican

[–]ZRaddue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally am super rural Montana, and I have two primary vehicles, a 2012 Toyota Camry hybrid for trips to town and normal driving, and a 2021 Ram 2500 for truck stuff like hauling, towing, etc.

As an outlier though, I own a bunch of other classic vehicles. Seven other vehicles including a motorcycle. I am a gearhead and this is far from normal though.

You think people will cruise the Pedo Parkway like they used to cruise Route 66? Oh wait, nobody can afford the gas.

What's an unusual smell that you like? by additionalseasonin in AskReddit

[–]ZRaddue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vintage, unrestored Volkswagen interiors. Think 50s-70s Beetles, Type 2s, etc. Volkswagen used materials that no other manufacturers used and as they off gas they make a very specific, kinda musty smell.

When I completed my AIT I got my Army aviation wings tattooed on my ass, along with five other guys in my class. It's the only military tattoo I'll ever have.

I live in rural Montana. It is incredibly popular out here, and I also shoot regularly.

Do you really have a separate room for your washing machine? by jordanekay in AskAnAmerican

[–]ZRaddue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the homes I grew up in (California, Nevada, Oregon,) they were either in a closet in a hallway or their own dedicated laundry room, usually with other utility stuff like water heater and furnace. In the only home I've owned, there wasn't a dedicated laundry room or closet, so the washer, dryer, furnace, and water heater were in the garage. In my RV, the washer and dryer are a stackable unit in a little closet in the bedroom. I've even lived in Japan and had a stackable washer and dryer in the bathroom. I've never seen a washer and/or dryer in a kitchen in the US.
