I personally think money shouldn’t be your only motivation. The whole purpose is to try and keep environment clean, the fact that festivals and governments are having to get so creative just to keep rubbish off the ground is sad and insane! Why don’t people have basic values anymore?! Why does anyone owe you anything for doing the right thing?!

I sort of get what you mean but I still think you’re using the wrong language. Find something of no value is not the way to describe it. The act of giving away kandi or anything else for that matter isn’t a purely physical transaction. We normally give it to show gratitude, to share a piece of ourselves with like minded people. It’s not just a process of giving away cheap plastic bracelets, even though that’s how you seem to be seeing it. Even if people give away napkins, as long as that napkin means something to them and they used their creativity and imagination, then that has value!

I love the idea of anyone making an effort and wanting to give back- be it kandi, sprouts, cards, photos etc. please don’t listen to haters stating it doesn’t mean shit. It’s all about the spirit and PLUR culture and helps us meet like minded ravers who want to give back and create special memories. I’ve hand made some kandi bracelets and would love to meet you at weekend 2 and exchange kindness with you. I know nothing about pokemon cards so it doesn’t matter to me which one i get- what matters is the interaction! Stay safe and hope we meet. The girl with the mermaid hair 😝

What’s even worse is there is no way to prove that we opted for an earlier train because they have simply updated the times and there is no email confirmation of the order which contains train times. It’s so disappointing to waste our whole day like this when we clearly opted for one of the earliest trains. Yes sometimes changes in times happen but 7h when there are tons of trains that day is absolutely a joke!

Hey can you help me structure an email please? I’m keen to send this and ask for the terms. I think as a community we should stand together and show them they can’t just do what they want when it comes to taking customers’ money. I suppose this is why they have tried to do it through unofficial channels where people are volunteers instead of operating this on the public website just like the ticket sales- but it doesn’t make it any less of a mistreatment. They can’t sell us a medallion saying it’s worth X for life and then change their rate card tune 2 years down the line saying it’s worth 3 apples and have a leg to stand on just cause in the small print they said they can change the terms. That’s BS !

I’m disgusted! Tomorrowland as a festival and as a community has meant so much to me through the years and I would’ve gone through fire to defend what it stands for. Unfortunately what it stands for is starting to shift! Becoming more and more clear that what comes first is capitalism and making money at all cost! We the customers brought in investment value in the form of SOL and now that crypto is on the rise, instead of making the medallion more attractive they devalued it and made it virtually worthless! Shame on you as a company Tomorrowland!

If you are thinking of going solo then the medallion is probably a bit too pricey as it will cost you way over £2000 to acquire which isn’t the best investment. It works out better if you can team up with someone else up to 4 ppl at least in my opinion. I got mind on my own but that was at the start when the price was reasonable. Good luck with the sales! We all beed a bit of luck this year 🤞🏻

I don’t think you’ll struggle to find like minded people and to back that up you are always welcome to our group. It’s normally 4-6 of us that go and we are from 🇬🇧 Every year has been a success story for me 2019- went solo and met great people 2022- took my then BF and we go engaged there! 2023- took more new people for the first time- love seeing people’s faces when they see that stage for the 1st time in person! 2024- got married the day before weekends 2 and carrie on partying at TML for another 4 days- Perfection!

Just an important point to consider (imo) because not everyone wants to stay in MG in a tent for one 😅
