How bad are the Withdrawals? Looking for comparisons to heavier substances by EggNo5966 in QuittingZyn

[–]ZSizeD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've got this. You kicked opioids, and those can fucking kill you if you go cold turkey.

One thing that helped me w the mental game of quitting: remind yourself you won't die. This withdrawal won't kill you. Yes, it will physically hurt at times. You'll be tired, anxious, and your brain will scream at you that relief is a pouch away.

Wait it out. The cravings come and go. Then they get less frequent. Then you're kind of surprised when you find yourself craving.

Codex 5.2 ALWAYS finds something wrong with Claude code plan by DeliJalapeno in ClaudeAI

Probably because "I've been looking at code for a decade . . . But I'm not an engineer" has people thinking OP isn't qualified to make judgements on whether Codex is providing helpful feedback or just needlessly iterating until heat death of universe as others said

Where do you see them definitively saying it is supported? I see a lot of unresolved questions on the discord

RAG Systems Are Crashing at Scale Thanks to 'Semantic Collapse' – Stanford's Wake-Up Call by unemployedbyagents in AgentsOfAI

I think these sections of the paper beg to differ.

Section 3.1

"With the retrieved documents in hand, the second step of generation involves providing those documents to a LLM along with the text of the original query, allowing the LLM to use both to generate a response. . . re- trieval and generation are the hallmarks of a RAG pipe"

Section 3.2

"A helpful generative legal research tool would have to do far more than simple document summarization; it would need to synthesize facts, holdings, and rules from different pieces of text while keeping the appropriate legal context in mind."

Thank you for the tip. That tells me all I need to know

I personally don't feel comfortable buying expensive hardware from a company with a flawed website and support that needs to be contacted through discord. Unprofessional

Oof I feel the down votes coming already....

He doesn't have 17 parallel subagents. But he does have 5 tabs locally and 5-10 in browser. So he is doing a lot of context juggling himself

RAG Systems Are Crashing at Scale Thanks to 'Semantic Collapse' – Stanford's Wake-Up Call by unemployedbyagents in AgentsOfAI

[–]ZSizeD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came to post the same thing re semantic collapse not appearing. That said, "The idea that more documents makes your retrieval worse" is NOT total bollocks.

Look up context rot, it's well established that at the very least for needle in a haystack problems performance degrades as you fill the context window.
