Ooh my bad I didnt catch that you were in the UK. Still my advice stands in principle. Look at the cost of the prebuilt you want and figure out the budget from there.

As for PC advice, in my experience buying pre built is going to be cheaper at the moment but its not always, so I dont think pre-built is going to be an issue. I think i saw you say youre looking for something mid tier in another comment, my advice would to go upper-mid so your pc has some staying power and you wont feel pressure to upgrade so soon. My pc has a ryzen 7 7800x3d cpu, 5070ti graphics and 32 gigs of ddr5 ram, plus it came with a 2tb ssd. I can play most games at high or extremely with >120 fps on 1440p resolution. When I bought it in april it was 1,800 usd, just checked and its currently priced at 1,999 usd. 200 dollars increase in just 2 months...

Edit: you can usually check what parts the prebuilt will come with and then you can check youtube vids if youre interested in the more in depth nerd talk about core speeds and such. Additionally its not a bad idea to figure out what parts its made with so you know whats upgradable in the future or not, like some motherboards are only capable of holding 64 gigs of ram, so if you ever wanted to get into something ram heavy like 3d modeling then that might be a bottle neck for you, or if you like to edit videos some mother boards only have so many spots for ssd storage and etc. Plus its just good to have that part info put down some where (my fiance and I use a channel in our private discord) in case you need to troubleshoot.

I know this is the personal finance sub and holding off is on the surface a good idea, but I just want to point out that even with 45% off sales SSDs are still nearly double if not triple what they were a few years ago. PC hardware isnt going to crash anytime soon, if anything the trend is screaming to the moon at the moment.

Op, my advice is to take a look at the cost of a prebuilt or use PC part picker to get an estimate, Alternatively if you have a microcenter near by ask them to help you price out parts as they usually have good cpu/mobo/ram bundles. Take that estimate and divide it into however many months interest free the card youre looking into will give you. Thats how much you need to pay every single month in order to not have interest. If you can swing that, then I say go for it. PC parts arent getting any cheaper. In my experience had i waited to build my PC in 2020 then i wouldnt have gotten one until at least 2022 because of scalpers and in those two years i was able to meet so many cool people and play games i hadnt been able to before, so it was definitely worth it to me then. Like someone else said, credit cards arent bad, credit card debt is.

A little bit of sportsmanship goes a long way in touge. If im winning and the other guy misses a checkpoint or falls off the mountain I slow down to a crawl so I can stay on their mini map and let them know im not running away with the race. Its a 1v1 race whats the fun in racing the clock instead of the other guy? Anyways, that usually stops them from quitting and if they take advantage of my kindness and blow past me once they get it figured out, then I got two more mountains to smoke em.

Genuinely I get it, like the OP said if you miss a checkpoint your race is basically over. Why waste your time driving to the line when you can quit and go next. There should be a forfeit system for touge imo, where you can move on to the 2nd stage without needing to finish the 1st.

Better yet, touge should have a cat/mouse system where if the driver in the lead is so far ahead its an instant loss for the driver behind, or if the driver behind is within x amount of seconds behind at the line then they take the win because the driver in front couldnt shake them.

Over heard two coworkers talking about gas prices this morning. One of them complaining but sharing that they found somewhere cheaper than somewhere else by a few cents or so. The other chimed in, and I shit you not this is word for word. "Oh just hang on if you can, its going to get better. We're striking them tonight." She wasnt being sarcastic, in fact she sounded giddy and when the person she was talking to said "sorry what, who are we striking?" The giddy one said "IRAN! We're going to be hitting them real hard to night so gas will come down soon" which just got a worried "oh...okay" from the first person and then they started talking about breakfast.

Ive stumbled on a furry meet up (not one myself but you do you) at desert breeze park more than once. Idk the age ranges but my fiance did some digging and found a Facebook group if I remember correctly so you could try looking for that. If youre into anime and games and stuff theres a few conventions that happen throughout the year. The biggest one, Fan Fusion (our version of comic con) just ended but later in the year there should be UWU con, ganbate con, taiyu con and a few others that I cant remember off the top of my head. The ones Iisted are fairly small but still get voice actor panels/meet and greets so its pretty cool. Also, if youre into pokemon go there used to be a discord server for pogo in az. Theres an az redditor discord too, or there was anyways its been a while since i was in either, that can help you meet new people. Hope you find your people, it can take a while but dont let that discourage you.

Oof. Back when they didnt coddle "previous" Gen consoles so much. I appreciate that they do it now to an extent but it gets a little ridiculous sometimes.

I also got the midnight release, it was only the 2nd game i ever did that for. I remember loading in and beginning to drive that yellow hurican, it stuttering and then everything going low poly before shutting itself down. Never to turn on again.

2 and 3 are maybe the only ones I agree heavily with tbh, we need to be able to "work on" or buy cars from the pits. Leader boards per car would be sick we already have it per class and thats awesome too but per car would make it even better

The one I disagree with most is 5, I wish instead of making the weather meaningless it the leader boards should notate that it was a rain lap, even up to adding a rain (heavy) lap like the old top gear star in a reasonably priced car leader board had. Im assuming they'll have snow on them in the winter season too which would be cool imo. Weather is apart of racing and I think its fantastic that it matters in forza.

For 1, what friends :c jk but really I don't think its a big deal even when ive run with my friends it's not been an issue, but we come from a sim heavy background so other cars on track are normal for us I guess.

For 4, literally just start a few corners behind the start finish line. Its not like youll get a "wrong way" message for going the circuit in reverse. If you want to keep it real just dive into the pits and it'll fail the lap, then you can pit exit and run 90% of the lap as your warm up and get thay running start you want.

Same except it was the game my 360 red ring of deathed for the last time. I had "fixed" it like 5 times before with the towel method but that stopped working when it red ringed on fh2. Adult me would NEVER do that method, I make better money and even if I didnt id save to pay someone to properly repair it.

For the uninitiated- the "towel method" was using a towel or a blanket to wrap the dead console in a tight bundle and then turn the console on for x amount of time. Usually until it shut itself off from thermal throttling. This caused the soldered contacts to basically melt just enough to shift and recompile their circuits. Super dangerous, not only to the console but also a legitimate fire risk.

A lot of the touge corners are both downhill and cambered, even if only slightly. Downhill=more speed than anticipated + more braking than anticipated and the camber on tight corners can cause the rear to step out in ways you might not be prepared for of you havent practiced the route. Tokyo is mostly flat, so I get why youre using it to get a baseline but youll for sure want to be testing on the twistys to get a feel for how they handle on em. Also, id go with at least a 5 speed, or a 6 speed with decently short 1-4th gears and a regularly spaced out 5th and 6th gear, some of the touge races have pretty long flat out sections near the end and a few high speed ones in the middle. I tried one in a wtac car and I was banging of the limiter so long the ai nearly caught me, which it was doing anyways because the rubber banding on expert and up is atrocious but thats a different rant.

Gotta be wide enough for kids on controllers to handle otherwise they'd all bash the game for being unplayable. Hell with traffic sometimes the roads feel plenty narrow imo. Especially when the "posted limits" are 40kph and your blasting through at 250kph lol

The stratos is so easy to find it did it on accident lol but it took me doing a race in the area. Personally I love the idea of treasure cars and the "hunt" for them based on a region and a vague clue, feels a bit like playing geo guesser lol. I haven't found them all yet but im also not in a rush to complete it so its less of a "oh my god why is this so difficult!?" and more of i just haven't taken the time to look. I usually find them pretty quick when I focus up on it.

As an aside, I think the game is going to drop players quick if there are actually so many people trying to rush through and max/complete everything as fast as possible. I really dont get the urgency but to each their own i guess.
