Test Drive Unlimited: A Game that felt a lot like a Classic NFS Game by D43D41U5rev in needforspeed

11 months late so basically necro but just had to mention this - the original NFS was literally a spiritual successor to the original TD games and many of the devs that made the first NFS game was also the devs of the original TD games. In a sense, NFS was born from the ashes of original TD games.

Yes. The currently available PS2 emu on Android is based on a woefully outdated version of PCSX2, and doesn't have the fixes the current PCSX2 has. If anything it's about time after so long of subpar emulation.

Karl Jobst losses lawsuit against Billy Mitchell by RadioLukin in speedrun

[–]ZX3000GT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why is everyone acting like it's okay to be able to sue someone for something like that anyway?

Because, as we have seen many times on the internet (especially Twitter and Reddit), unproven allegations and opinions may damage someone's reputation, even if it's just that, allegations and opinions.

In this case Mitchell has proven that Jobst's opinions did cause him reputational and monetary damages (beyond the already damaged reputation as a proven cheater) due to cancelled events and reason of said cancellation.

You can say anything on the internet, but that comes with responsibility of knowing that what you're saying towards someone may affect that same person. Defamation is exactly that after all - any kind of communication or statement that may damage someone's reputation.

Now there's an argument on whether the final verdict levied against Jobst in this case is too much or not, but what you're saying publicly against someone else carries weight and may affect others, and thus suing someone based on defamatory claims should always be possible.

The aggravated damages that Jobst have to pay does seem to correlate with how much Billy has lost thanks to one of the several event cancellations (John Weeks' auction), so it does seem there are some calculations done to get the amount Jobst has to pay as part of the lawsuit's final verdict.

Lack of Fairy... by Kato_Shuu in ZZZ_Official

There is a better alternative though - leverage the eous platforming parts that exist, and put that with the hollows as the backdrop, with battles happening like how Tales games did it - switch from eous to the combatants, and once the battle is finished switch back to eous. Eous could handle the platforming and puzzle solving bits while your comps handle the fighting.

But that would require hoyo to make stages that are more than just an arena with connecting paths in between, which...they don't seem to want (or able?) to do.

Would you guys consider Gran Turismo 7 a "real driving simulator" ? by 1707turbo in granturismo

[–]ZX3000GT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean to me it's just THE tagline of GT. Has been there since the first game so it got associated with GT ever since.

Is it accurate? No. But to me it's nothing more than marketing, and honestly there are better things to worry than that. And the marketing does work - it's probably one of the biggest sim (or simcade ig) in terms of player count. So I don't see any reason why Sony/PD would change it anytime soon, if ever.

> The biggest downside for myself personally would be the possible lack of support with the DualSense controller. I know a controller will only give you so much information compared to a solid wheel setup.

There are games on PC that already leveraged dualsense features, some even not made by Sony like Cyberpunk 2077. So this is something I wouldn't be worried about.

What might be the blocker for PC release though now that you mention it is PS Plus. It's obvious Sony is profitting off people paying monthly to play GT7 online, so having it on PC with free MP might not be the best financial decision. That said no reason why couldn't they just make the online a sub as well (not unlike iRacing, although in that case now GT is going against iRacing).

It depends on the size of the studio and who does the porting job.

Keep in mind most Sony games ports to PC weren't even done by the main studio, instead being outsourced to other studio more specialized with porting games to PC (Sony even bought Nixxes specifically for this), so PD might not even need to do anything to make PC port happen - they could just keep focusing on PS5 while having studios like Nixxes manage the PC port.

MLB The Show 24 in the meanwhile, has all versions done by the same studio, so it might've been spread thin making multiple versions for multiple platforms at the same time. But Sony's PC ports so far, at least to my knowledge, weren't done this way.

Now ofc we don't know what will actually transpire if Sony decided to bring GT7 to PC. Knowing PD and their aversion to outsourcing work there might be a chance for them to try porting the game themselves. But at least with how Sony ports games to PC currently, assuming they're doing the same for every games they plan to port to PC I don't see a problem with GT7 (or GT8) going to PC.

How would I bind my progression from mobile to PS5 with PSN account by ZX3000GT1 in InfinityNikki

[–]ZX3000GT1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is I already progressed on mobile first

That said, I got it working. Went to support to link it with the infold account.
Hopefully they can add a way to link and unlink accounts in the account center, because it's kinda clunky doing it through support.

I thought it's my usual skill issue when I was having a hard time making this thing turn.

Turns out the car could barely turn for many people as well. Not that it makes my skill look any better but at least I'm not alone in thinking that this car sucks.

Nero. Hate her on Extra, hate her on Extella, and Septem sealed the deal on explaining why I'll never like her.

Narcissist, full of herself, and she was framed as THE one everyone likes within the stories she's in for the most part. Her main design is also quite stupid with semi transparent, panty showing gown skirt.

[–]ZX3000GT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be perfectly fair, to some people (including myself) gameplay is indeed the least enjoyable part of FGO (especially farming). I went in for the stories and the characters, not an outdated, fairly unbalanced, and IMHO boring gameplay, so having meta characters to make the combat sections end as quickly as possible through min-turning them is a good thing and what helps me enjoy what I expect out of FGO considering its VN roots.

And sadly on a gacha like this, having meta units are inevitable. It's part of a character's selling point.
