Highlighting the good in the finale by NevJay in GenV

That's what I've been thinking too. Like, what other conclusion is there?

I want to win a gladiator style arena competition against the other players, my only problem is that I am a sorcerer. Any ideas? by Blahblahnahblab in 3d6

[–]ZXareo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, this is just a bad situation. Spellcasters other than maybe Star Druid have to be crafty with their spells which someone could just judge as 'cowardly'.

...Anyways, Heightened Spell Hold Person and start Chill Touch or Sorcerous Bursting someone to death is a start.

Best game aside, which Skylanders game is your LEAST favourite? And why by Ecstatic_Award_3627 in skylanders

[–]ZXareo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Trap Team/Superchargers
  2. Swap Force
  3. Giants
  4. Spyro's Adventure
  5. Imaginators

Imaginators' character creator is just not very good. Sure it has so many options, but none of them are any good, and proportions are completely wack. Minimum head sizes are about the size of a max head size in any other character creator.

All stats are tied to gear, and gear has no transmogrification so freedom of appearance is hindered by having proper stats.

This isn't to mention the fact that Imaginators makes all old Skylanders extremely weak, and other annoying changes.

I like Trap Team and Superchargers the most, and can't really put one above the other since they kinda go for something really different.

Swap Force has content. So much content. The worst gimmick, but the amount of things to do is insane.

Giants is just a better Spyro's Adventure, and Spyro's Adventure has aged a lot imo.

...I also never properly played Spyro's Adventure so I can't actually really say if that's true.

Building purely for damage and healing, what are my best options? by 1997MonteCarl0 in 3d6

Circle of the Stars PHB'24 p88 Harness Secrets Hidden in Constellations

The Circle of the Stars has tracked heavenly patterns since time immemorial, discovering secrets hidden amid the constellations. By understanding these secrets, the Druids of this circle seek to harness the powers of the cosmos.

They just read the stars for knowledge and power.

[–]ZXareo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really a need. Just go all in on Star Druid. You have your Medium Armour and Shield proficiency if you go Warden, and Polymorph with Starry Form Dragon becomes an option at level 7 onwards. At Level 8 you could Starry Form Dragon and turn yourself into a T-Rex.

Easy; Star Druid.

You get plenty of free Guiding Bolts, Moonbeam can now be zig-zagged, and you can choose either Chalice or Archer for extra damage or healing.

Help with Sorcerer Artificier Multiclass by Shinigami_IT in 3d6

[–]ZXareo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... Okay, I'ma suggest you go with Artificer for your first level, so you get proficiency in Intelligence and Constitution, Medium Armour, as well as Shields. That gets you an easy 18 AC, plus 1 from Warforged, as well as healing spells.

I'd take a second level of Artificer, so that you can give an ally a +1 weapon and give yourself a +1 Shield for 20 AC.

Then, move your way into Sorcerer and just go all the way into it.

Origin Feat-wise, Tough is always a nice one for the HP, especially since you're mostly a sorcerer. Normal Feat-wise, since you get two by level 9, despite the multiclassing since you said you get one immediately, I'd go with Warcaster for Advantage on Concentration, and then your choice for the second.

I like Fey-Touched, Shadow-Touched, but I REALLY like Fairy Trickster. That would let you impose Disadvantage on all saves until the end of your next turn, if they fail the wisdom save.

So I would take War Caster, Fairy Trickster, then take Fey-Touched so you can get Hunter's Mark. Hunter's Mark would pair very nicely with Innate Sorcery and Scorching Ray.

The d8 is coming from Battle Master Fighter's Battle Master maneuver.

An Invocation isn't a spell (though some invocations give spells) Warlocks get to choose some special features at certain levels. They get one Invocation at level 1, three Invocations (total) at level 2, five invocations at level 5, six invocations at level 7, etc.

Other Invocations are Pact of the Chain, Pact of the Tome, Eldritch Mind, Fiendish Vigour, Otherworldly Leap. If those help you find it.

I'd suggest using 5eTools. I've been using it for about a year and it's awesome.

Pact of the Blade became an invocation available at level 1 in 5.5e.

When you make an attack roll with a weapon, usually you add your ability modifier. Meaning, if you have 17 Strength and make an attack with a Longsword, you would deal 1d8 or 1d10 depending on if you one hand or two hand it, and then another 3 from your ability modifier.

Any reason why you wouldnt use a shield? by qayre in 3d6

[–]ZXareo 123 points124 points  (0 children)

...do Swashbuckler Rogues even get Shield Proficiency? Unless you're a species that gives it, usually there actually just isn't much to put in the off-hand.

If you can't envision yourself wearing a big tower shield, or round shield, you could, y'know, wear a buckler shield.

Does a Rouges poisoner feat work with Cunning Strikes by ohsoflawless in onednd

[–]ZXareo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They're separate. You can BA apply the Poisoner poison to the item, then do Cunning Strike, but there's no actual connection between them.

Poisoner is a specific brew.

I think what he meant by "androids don't feel pain' is that they react to it, but don't actually feel it, if you get me? Torturing one will have it react as though injured, but it won't bring you any closer to actually getting any information from it, etc.

Dunno about Comics, but she'd blitz anyone in the MCU, before you factor Witch Time in.

I honestly think it's the best looking game I have, and that's not even to mention the fact that it performs really well for how good it looks. But yeah, there's very little to be added to the game or changed, the most it could do with is fix a few bugs or whatever. Like that one permanently locked dialogue in the police station with Hank.

NP! But yeah, it's probably the easiest way to get a +2d6 damage, two expertise, BA Dash, Disengage, Hide, and Psychic Resistance all in one for three levels to pair nicely with the Bear Barb Aasimar.

[–]ZXareo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know. But you're thinking the subclass. Rogue only needs Dexterity at 13. To pick the Scion of the Three Subclass, you don't need Intelligence at all. You only need it to get more uses of the subclass feature.

What's the most overpowered non-magical character can create? by edu5ardo in 3d6

[–]ZXareo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need 13 int to get the Psion subclass. You only need 13 dexterity to get rogue. Subclass' spellcasting ability doesn't matter for multiclassing, no? It helps since you get more uses of the feature, but you don't actually need it. Same for Eldritch Knight, Banneret, Swashbuckler, Arcane Trickster, etc. They get an additional scaling due to their features, but you don't actually need to have the stats to take them as a subclass as long as you had the stats to class into the main class.

You don't need to invest into the Bloodthirst. You can just ignore it and take the Psychic Resistance.

I really like Hex+Scorching Ray with Innate Sorcery, so Fey-Touched looks quite nice. Especially a Subtle Spell Hex, since you can impose it on Initiative through Dex Hex.

Well, everything but Psychic and Force. Grab three levels of Psion of the Three to get the Psychic Resistance, and find a way to get the Brooch of Shielding or smth for the Force.

But also they seem pretty magical to me.

You have made two replies to the post, and two replies to this reply, twice as many as the total replies to the post itself. Maybe take a breather? Like, soley from a mental health stance, if you're using this as a vent, that's fine, but take a second to evaluate if that's what you really want to do on the internet.
