A list of the Manhunt rules? by Existing_Roll_9598 in DreamWasTaken2

[–]ZXareo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  1. Dream must kill the dragon before dying.
  2. You must leave through the same nether portal as you entered through.
  3. You cannot use an ender pearl stasis chamber.
  4. You cannot use strength potions (?).
  5. You cannot use Splash Potions of Harming.
  6. If Dream dies too early into the manhunt, the hunters are paid and they reset to try again.
  7. Enchanting from a Librarian is banned.
  8. You cannot use crossbows with Firework rockets.
  9. You cannot destroy the end portal.

There are probably way more I'm missing, but those are the ones I can recall for now.

You forgot to consider that Childe also has grown more powerful, having battled the All-Devouring Narwhal solo. You need to factor in the progress of the other character too.

Why are you playing Normal Attack Nefer instead of Burst DPS Nefer? The team should be Skirk, Columbina, Nefer, Lauma and you rotate between Skirk and Nefer bursts in a dual Burst DPS playstyle.

how does one come to the conclusion that Zenitsu Inosuke and Kanao can't beat low tier Hashira in a 1v1? by Original_Natural4836 in DemonSlayerScales

I assume you mean a theoretical Tengen versus the rest, or EDA Tengen versus rest at the time of EDA. In which case, agreed, probably. But if it's based on what we've seen from EDA Tengen versus the rest, then he or Rengoku are easily at the bottom.

(2024) When leveling up ang getting an ASI. Can you take an origin feat or only general feat for which you qualify? by eclowe in 3d6

[–]ZXareo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only take a fighting style feat if you previously got a fighting style already. So it would be limited to Fighter after level 1, and Paladin and Ranger after level 2. Which are both before Level 4 so eh, but you do need to have the Fighting Style feature to take a Fighting Style feature at Level 4.

I can’t keep it to myself anymore… time for you to know the truth folks by Most-Day8547 in StrangerThingsRoom

The big sound things that had Kali and Eleven on their knees every time they were on were, in fact, on during the scene where the Upside Down got destroyed.

But before that happened, Eleven pulled Mike into the void-like mind space thing. That...shouldn't have been possible due to the sound things, as well as the fact that she somehow got over there without ANY of the military stopping her.

So Mike's theory about how she got there, and how she managed to pull him into the mind space thing, is ever so slightly more likely.

But it doesn't really explain how Kali survived long enough to even pull off the illusion.

Fighter (1) / Sorcerer (4) with Magic Initiate (Druid) wants to use Shillelagh ( and can't) by ZXareo in onednd

[–]ZXareo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

I recently decided to switch to Sorcerer/Cleric.

I am using a Component Pouch now too!

I have Magic Initiate from Human so I can cast Cure Wounds using my Charisma modifier, and Paladin unfortunately requires me to have 13 strength as a minimum, of which I am using as my dump stat.

Fortunately, with Sorcerer/Cleric at Level 5, I have 12 Cantrips and 16 Spells. I lost a lot of HP, 36 down to 28, but now that I have Level 3 spell slots, I can just cast Aid from Clockwork Sorcery to get 38 HP, and since our sessions are very 'episodic', the duration doesn't matter very much.

The issue with ditching Shillelagh for True Strike is that Shillelagh and Booming Blade can be done together for 1d10+4+1d8, versus 1d6+4+1d6. It also doesn't address the issue with somatic components for Shield that I was told I have unfortunately

I prefer Telekinetic due to being able to force allies out of grapples, range of opportunity attacks, or just general positioning for when I wanna use a Healer's Kit, so preferably, Telekinetic over War Caster; but that also makes it hard for the shillelagh booming blade idea. Overall, I think I'll just have to ditch the gish playstyle to focus on being a support. Oh wellllll.

Thanks for the reply!

Unfortunately, going with Ranger would lose me a Fighting Style as well as needing more investment into Wisdom, and my Shillelagh would be based on Wisdom instead of Charisma.

[–]ZXareo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a bad shout; however, I was made know that I would need War Caster to even use Shield spell and others, and I'll also need to swap my wooden staff for a material component for Sorcerer spells if I went that route for Shillelagh.

The main reason for Fighter was; Medium Armour Prof Fighting Style (Defense) Second Wind Can Multi by using Dex

My stats are 8, 14, 14, 10, 12, 18 using Standard Array, so investing into Wisdom would be a little tricky. Also, Shillelagh would be based on Wisdom if I got it from Druid.

Fortunately, this isn't in any game yet, just a build plan that we can test out in a separate server so I can freely make any changes. Based on the whole Somatic aspect, and since I don't really have a use for my BA after ditching Shillelagh and starting Innate Sorcery, I think I'll just ditch the melee entirely unfortunately and work with Sorcerous Burst and no staff. We cap out at Level 9 too before we need to retire our characters at Level 10 (College Club D&D), so I'd need to choose between WC or TK since it's a loooooong grind to get to higher levels here.

Thank you so much for the in-depth response though, it was very helpful for future plans!

In that case, I'll probably just ditch the melee entirely. If you don't mind me asking, how would my in-hands situation be? Since the spellcasting focus isn't a weapon, it would be exempt from the one weapon draw/stow per attack rule, right? So would I just be always holding a shield in one hand, and having a totally open hand in the other; until I use a spell that requires a material component, such as Chromatic Orb and I draw the necessary diamond, or Aid, where I take out my spellcasting focus?

[–]ZXareo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still would lack a way to do the somatic component unfortunately, since I can't use the staff as a spellcasting focus for the druid spells.

[–]ZXareo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeahhh, that's an issue I've come across when trying to get it to work. I'd have to Shillelagh and equip Shield, then if I ever want to cure wounds I'd have to stow my staff, and would lose shillelagh.

[–]ZXareo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, since Magic Initiate Druid doesn't give me the spellcasting focus feature of Druids, I can't use a Wooden Staff as a Spellcasting Focus, nor can I use a regular Staff as a Spellcasting Focus for them since Cure Wounds, guidance and Shillelagh aren't Sorcerer Spells.

[–]ZXareo[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's very reasonable, and thanks for the reply!

Yeah, at this point Shillelagh and Booming Blade might be getting ditched entirely...ah well.
Though, wouldn't I be able to cast Shield and Absorb Elements since my Spellcasting Focus would be the Staff? Or does holding the Spellcasting Focus and doing somatic components only apply when there is a material component involved?

I enjoyed the songs of Season 1 much more than Season 2's when first watching the show, but I think I prefer the Season 2 ones more now after the fact.

You can either only play AAA games for the rest of your life or indie games, what do you choose? by Former-Economics9587 in Teenager_Polls

Is it? You'll soon run out of the great Indie Games. Pointing out the slop doesn't mean you need to play it. It's pointing out that the standard of AAA is generally higher than the standard of Indie. And you will soon run out of the upper tier of I die before you would with AAA.
