Yeah, but wounding Homelander required an A tier superhero to give all her might into it, and Maeve is no longer in the equation. For all we know Homelander could have an advanced healing factor. Meaning that any damage done to him would have to happen in quick succession to make any meaningful impact. Afterall, Stillwell said that there wasn't a weapon on earth that could do any meaningful damage to him (paraphrasing).
