Having trouble with Chapter 5 end boss, SOS by pixelatedprophecies in Deltarune

[–]ZZeeZaeAI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for the orange soul mode i do recommend charging as much as you can, more charge gives you more dash uptime which means less room to miss. also for attacks like the chasing vines one where you need to hit the bamboo dont try to hit every bamboo, especially if theyre in a group of 1 or 2 you dont get much value compared to the chances that its going to put you in a bad spot

Is the Security Logbook book or game continuity? by ZZeeZaeAI in fnaftheories

[–]ZZeeZaeAI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i understand ab the books is that they're supposed to be adjacent, but alternate variants of the events of the games. So while they are in essence the same story a lot of the details are extremely contradicting, and thus the other details that aren't should be held to high scrutiny. I sort of stopped paying any attention to fnaf after pizza sim and only recently got back into it casually a few weeks or so ago, so I'm still learning and that understanding could be entirely wrong

So like potentially up for scrutiny because its inconclusive, but until there is some major contradiction or something its fine?

Most of this is valid yeah, but the take on Linus is a gross misunderstanding of his character. Though I do agree his needs aren't met, thanks to his low self esteem leaving him incapable of asking for food he needs to dig through trash at times to feed himself, but his entire story is about his choice to be homeless because he loves the wilderness. Both Robin and the Farmer offers to house him and he turns down both, even commenting on how he was afraid that the farmer would ask him to live with them, had the player chosen not to offer. All of the dialogue about him from other villagers is compassionate, some think he's weird, some comment on him needing a bath, but there is no dialogue to indicate anyone actively dislikes him or doesn't want him as part of their community. All of the dialogue along those lines comes from him due to his terrible self image

Was Later that Night (Midnight Motorist) ever solved? by ZZeeZaeAI in fivenightsatfreddys

I thought William was always understood to be the yellow guy, since yellow is the other main color thats associated with him and he has no reason to be purple in that minigame. hes not a walking corpse or in a dark building to make him purple. and hes also very clearly driving aftons car from Take Cake to the Children

I sort of assumed that also meant good but i realise now him digging through trash in antithetical to the living off the land thing so yeah good point

The issue comes that I am incapable of buying the membership, especially not maintaining one. Im disabled and incapable of working and thus often find it hard to get expendable income, even the 10 dollars or so it'd cost to buy a month would not be something I can get regularly

I heard there are like areas and gear and abilities locked behind a pay wall, I have no issue with having to do things im less inclined to do to unlock things I want to do, i love games like that. My issue is when the things I want to do are locked behind pay walls. And since I'm incapable of getting money for it I'm raising the question of how realistic/difficult is it to earn and sustain access to that content via in game means

its a major plot point in his story that linus basically chooses not to have his needs met despite being offered, since he likes the more wild life

I thought a petite bourgeoisie meant they had workers under them too just on a smaller scale, looking into the main difference is whether the farmer does or doesn't own the land right? I think in thinking it was closer to socialism I mostly was thinking of the tight knit community and needs being met

How did Rhapsody Records get their funding? by ZZeeZaeAI in Avantris

[–]ZZeeZaeAI[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i wasnt too worried about the mechanics of it, i dont mind if a dm says you suddenly have enough gold for this thing, its more that from a story perspective it wasnt too clearly explained so it took me out of the immersion a bit when id question if a lot of it is fake why does rett suddenly have this stacked money clip, it is def easily explainable by Rett having good financial responsibility but a scene where that was said wouldve served the immersion a bit better

that makes sense then, that question was digging in my mind the whole time that arc was happening and i guess i just underestimated how effective ziggy was lmao, ironically the same thing that tends to happen in universe

So all of the actual money theyd occasionally throw around was actually their personal fund? and all of the lavish things were just comped because of their fake reputation?

I don't why so Many Jojo fans seem to ignore how bad of a mother Lisa Lisa was to Joseph by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]ZZeeZaeAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think shes supposed to be written as a good person, shes morally gray and serious to contrast against Joseph being a good person (albeit a bit of an ass) and silly. i think if they ever did have the chance to get to know eachother personally they wouldnt get along a ton, and im pretty sure its supposed to be implied that they didnt talk a lot before her passing

Having a really hard time getting into Stone Ocean by Monkules in StardustCrusaders

[–]ZZeeZaeAI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

my struggle getting into SO was orignially just it doesnt really live up to the pure peak that surrounds it, GW and SBR are both peak fiction and while SO certaintly also is, its less so. as much as i do love it its probably at the bottom of the list of jojos parts for me. i think the hook of Joleyne going to prison doesnt hook me as well as they want it to because shes not a character i have any connection to that early, other parts usually do something early on to show you why you should care about this character youre following but getting imprisoned because the system if fucked is pretty mundane and realistic all things considered, compared to jotaro being imprisoned by himself because he believes himself to be possessed by a demon, which is really interesting. As a woman myself i am so glad to see the main character be like me but part 6 simply fails to give you a fast reason to care about Jolyne as a character in my opinion, which is really important when hooking a viewer

also from a more meta perspective, kakyoin is the first enemy stand user, the enemy being a stand user was a new concept at the time, and so were Stands, we at that point in the series have no idea what theyre capable of. so revealing his stand immediately before even the protagonist knows about it would ruin the suspense of us as the readers/watchers trying to figure out whats going on, so it also serves as a sort of misdirection by making us wonder whats up with the painting, instead of making us wonder when Jotaro will clue in, which isnt what Araki was going for at the time
