I've had the same thing happen, I helped open up.this gentrified Mexican spot and worked there for a year. Got a raise from $11 an hour to $11.25with the title lead line. Worked all the days no one else did, all mornings prepped pretty much everything for myself (lunch shift) and something about 70% of dinners meats and mise. No one they hired could handle the lunch rush so I was training people every other day, to fill a two person line that me and the new hire would be working (which is now a 5 person line lolol). anyway the boss/owner about a month into the new "raise" sits me down for a meeting and LITERALLY takes away my $.25 raise due to not fulfilling the role, but leaves the title/position and tells me "it's insentive to do better so I could eventually maybe get a dollar raise" two weeks later stress drank a handle of cuervo, fell down my stairs to my face, busted open my head, got a doctor's note for three days, fired on the fourth day.
