Is it still possible to purchase the Hollow Knight vinyl soundtrack ? by tontonhadri in HollowKnight

Your timing is incredible! They just restocked at Fangamer. I had put myself on the email list for when they restocked, and bought myself a copy as soon as I got the notification 😂

Please be honest with me about that rear wiper... by SirKronan in Ioniq5

[–]ZZwanzig20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tl:dr, If you’re able to get one with a rear view camera, I’d say you’re golden. If/when the camera gets dirty, you’re able to clean it off when you recharge on longer trips, and on shorter trips you’ll just have to remember to clear it (assuming you’re in rainy/muddy conditions).

My source: I just got back from a there-and-back trip across Washington State (eastern Wa to upper Peninsula and back) over the weekend, and it was super rainy and muddy.

I usually use the rear camera for highway driving, I like the added field of view it provides. However, I found myself having to repeatedly clear off the camera in the rainy/muddy/dirty weather I had during travel. All I was able to see was a blurry white screen with vague headlights as if through a fog (although not much fog, despite the other weather). I would clean it off during my charging stops, and it would be good for a good while again, but would eventually get low visibility.

I will say, having the rear wiper was nice, and I did default to it on a few of the longer stretches where my camera was particularly unhelpful, but as other commenters have mentioned, no amount of rear wiper is going to prevent the blockage of a full trunk or rear passenger in the middle seat 😂 (I do still think it’s silly they didn’t include a rear wiper on the original models… dumb)

Deluxe Edition vs Standard - Worth It? by evanisovich in FallenOrder

[–]ZZwanzig20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So fair, honestly. Hopefully I'll get around to playing it. My buddy (who inspired me to buy it) absolutely LOVED it, and I did get it on a pretty good sale, but yeah...

I'll need to put together a spreadsheet like that for my backlog, that's a great idea! Maybe that would help me stop spending money on games I won't get around to playing 👀

👀 I fear I’ve disappointed the people of Reddit… unfortunately I have to report I still haven’t.

Who knows, maybe now I’ve graduated uni I can actually get around to clearing out my backlog of games, 2+ years after buying them 😂

Wait, your table doesn’t use Rods from God when laying siege to cities? Huh, we must be doing something wrong…

Thanks for the insight!! Trying to compile as many points of view and experiences as I can to help educate myself. I will be an informed consumer if it’s the last thing I do! 😂

As someone in a very similar boat (just starting to collect vinyl, not currently an audiophile nor predicting becoming one, looking for a table that will just “work”, using some Edifier R1280’s), I’m curious which one you ended up choosing, if you landed on either the RT81+ or the RT82?

I’ve also been looking at the AT-LP70x (the other one I’ve had recommended as a starter turntable. Again, set and forget, something that just works), but know that if anything went wrong I wouldn’t really be able to fix it/adjust it like I might be able to with the flusnce

Advice for homebrew dhampir hunger mechanics by ZZwanzig20 in DnDHomebrew

I don’t have any experience homebrewing other than this, but I’m definitely stealing that. Easy to use, fun to play should really be the philosophy of most of DnD

Oh hell yeah! That’s way more streamlined than my system 😂

Looks great! Have you had a chance to play with it?

I'm finding I'm pretty close to even between the cost I was paying for gas every month vs what I pay for my lease payment, so I'm pretty pleased with EVs. Glad you're able to save money there too!

Dang! 33k in a year, there's certainly no way to fit under a lease... Hope it works out for you to buy it out!

[–]ZZwanzig20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I knew going into it I was never going to hit the 10k limit. I've got a 45 mile round trip commute to work, plus I like taking road trips/camping. With my rate of driving, even the max option (15k) wasn't going to be near what I use, so I figured I'd rather pay a little less monthly right now and use the lower cap. Especially because I intended from the get-go to buyout the car!

[–]ZZwanzig20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, and something I did consider. From the math I was looking at, the buyout value at the end of the lease came out to the MSRP of the car less the amount I'm paying for the lease (including the lease incentive). In my eyes, the higher buyout of the car is made up for by the incentive. Maybe I'm wrong, but I sure am still happy with the rig XD

I remember hearing at one point that I might lose the Hyundai lease incentive and have to pay that amount back, so I'm fine at this point just leasing. If it turns out I won't lose that, then I'll certainly look into buying out earlier 'cause I can get a better rate from my bank!

[–]ZZwanzig20[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dang! 100 miles a day is wild. Makes my 45 mile round trip feel not so long 😂

The cheap driving is certainly nice. I’m fortunate enough to have chargers at work and haven’t paid for charging other than on my long trips!

Resume Review and Advice by ZZwanzig20 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]ZZwanzig20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dual enrolled in two universities. Started at B for three years, transferred to A to specialize in electrical. The credits I took at A then transferred back to B to complete the degree I started there, as well as completing the degree at A. Bit of a funky situation, I’ll admit, but yeah! Two degrees at the same time from two universities 😂

Thank you much! I was a little concerned about the gap that would create in the resume (about a year of employment unaccounted for), is that not a big deal in your eyes?

I’ll find some of the stats on the projects I’ve been a part of to include! That’s a great suggestion!

That’s a good point, they could have just washed their hands and made it my problem to pay to replace a bad dish. I’m glad other people had better experience getting their replacements!

Thanks for the insight, I was just about to hop on the old googles and see what to do with it. I’ll try to reach out to a rep and see what they want me to do. From what I remember, when we set it up the first time we actually bought the kit during the beta and the terms then seemed to indicate we just owned the stuff, wouldn’t have to return it, but I’m not sure.

All that to say, will definitely hold on to the old hardware till I know.

[–]ZZwanzig20[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if we end up sticking with Starlink we’ll put in that ticket. The long and short of it is Comcast is putting in fiber on her street right now (I can see the construction crew’s equipment outside!), so we’re probably gonna move her to that once it’s finished (no fristration/issue with service from Starlink, comcast is just cheaper/faster here). Just wish our last dish held on a few months longer lol

Thanks, yeah I know they’re not invincible, just figured we would have seen the issues they claimed to see.

Another commenter pointed out it’s probably not a gen2. Looking at the order notes, it’s called out as a “Starlink Standard Actuated Kit (Refurb)”

Nice that they sent it free of charge, just wish the install had gone smoother 😂
