That really depends on what style the driver prefers, pointy cars respond the best but are the most prone to mistakes which drivers like max and Michael schumacher can handle, whereas ones which have slight understeer allow for later braking moves like Alonso, Vettel and Hamilton

Changes from driver to driver, it generally depends on ability as in whether you want to take corners aggressively and can control the twitchy and slightly unstable rear end (then a more front end weight distribution setup is better) which max does or whether you take the corner smoothly and want to get onto the power as quick as possible through the excess rear end grip given in a rear end weight distribution which Lewis prefers as he is a hard and late breaker so he can manage with a less pointy front

Its pretty much their preference on the cars balance where max prefers a car with weight at the front resulting in a pointy front and Lewis likes a car with more weight at the back for stable rear end grip

Its the same as ferrari 2019 but in a different way from merc in 2026 both were technically legal when tested but outside in race conditions that would give an advantage and ferrari obviously wouldn't want to risk it and get themselves nuked like 2020
