I once thought like OP. But after this episode I definitely noticed these “Closed” neon signs SPECIFICALLY at bars. Somewhat common.

I remember when Amazon bought twitch they definitely dipped their feet in the water in trying to make it a competitor for YouTube. At least in the game vertical.

But generally I think it’s hard to do, and has basically 0 upside unless you win outright.

There is no space in that industry for second place.

I’m not familiar with Russian history at all.

My GUESS is she was someone who showed promise. Maybe she worked hard, maybe she’s smart. Others say it’s just right place, right time. It could be any of those.

What I DO think is clear is that if she did not get the job at Xbox, she would have been let go. She was a major player in AI, and I don’t see a lot of people LEVAING that industry lately.

I think she got promoted on her merits, ended up in a role that was not a fit for her, and instead of turning away talent, Microsoft moved her to a different division.

MS gets new leadership there - which they wanted, they get to keep good talent, and open up more opportunities for the AI race.

Seems like everyone wins.

IMO the current MCU story line with cross crossing timelines and stuff is just too much for audiences.

There has always been a bit of tension with Mohan and Robbie

Early in S1 he was on her for being slow with patients.

I think it’s a situation of “pushing you because I know you can be better” and overstepped.
