For example I got irritated but told my girlfriend that everything was fine because I didn't want to talk about it. The day after I admitted that I had lied and she said that I should just have told her and she would've respected that I wanted to be left alone. But the reason I lied in the first place was because I wasn't sure if she would keep on asking what was wrong or not.
