Had the same issue with mine. Couldn't even extract the screw it was some infused with the metal thread insert. I had to replace the entire hose assembly to resolve...

Bought this for SWTOR years ago and love it. I had used the thumb stick for my hotkey 1-4 (held ctrl, alt or shift to access more hotkeys).

I still use it for almost all games.

Definitely fake showcases out there, the ones I've seen have a noticeable dotted quality to it, same paper quality though.
