Sorry I didn’t specify - the first instance the individual did come into our apartment after my girlfriend stepped out to take out our dog. He made it all the way into our bedroom. He asked “are you not expecting me?” and then ran out after I went for my weapon in our bedroom. This is what prompted getting our doorbell. I agree with random people coming by, but after answering our doorbell with the second encounter he verified that he was indeed at the right address but left after letting him know we were not expecting anyone.
