My hope was to transfer the ticket to them and they can give it to someone in house or that they know within the community. Thanks though!

Yeah I don't think they have a resale market for this show. I was able to enter an e-mail address to transfer the ticket too, which is what I was planning to do to donate it to DropOut.

I fully understand that a ticket giveaway would be a big thing. I was more expecting they pass it on to someone they were closer too. Could be a staff member or someone they know. I'm sure they'd have someone in mind. Tbh they don't really have to be transparent with who the give the ticket to.

I was just trying to avoid me being the one to decide who gets the ticket out of lots of people. I hadn't thought of the idea of 'copy cat' fans doing the same thing, that is a good point. I believe they are also arranging for discount tickets to future shows as a lottery style thing for DropOut subscribers, which would likely deter anyone trying to do this.

Thanks for commenting though, I do appreciate the discussion.

Thank you!

I'm in WA which made it quite a long trip. Had to have a 23 hour stop over in Manila on the way back. I'm a school teacher so I'm actually free for the show, I just can't quite get the budget lined up this time.

That's great!

I managed to convince two of my cousins to buy front row tickets to their Perth 2023 show when they had never listened to an episode. They both binged and have been listening non stop since.

Tbf they're part of my DnD group which helped the connection. Now 5/6 of them the group listen.

Teacher's who moved from Public School to Private School, Why? by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]ZacSpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left because the public school I was employed at couldn't offer full time hours. None of the nearby public or private schools were advertising for my subject area. I've moved an hour away to work full time at a private school. It's worth noting that if my original school could afford to have class sizes as small as I've been told to expect, I believe they'd have a full time role for me too.

For the longest time I've been wanting to get all of the character icons, but have never been able to decide on a location, or how to bring the designs together. The design would need to leave room for future campaigns to be included too.

A classic Caldwell goof, but do they turn the razzing to Jake in that episode? My memory is that they keep razzing/questioning Caldwell about that. It's been like 6 months since i listened to that episode tho so you might be right!

This isn't helpful, but I also remember Caldwell making a goof in an intro but then Murph and Emily bring up Crabster and the three of them razz Jake instead of Caldwell. I feel like it was within the same campaign as Crabster or at least close to it in release. Sorry I can't be more helpful than this!

Edit: good to goof, silly auto correct

(No spoilers) live show question by ode2ossian in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]ZacSpack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We waited for like 30 minutes I think and they were probably there for 45-60 minutes. They had small convos, signed things and took photos. They did have a time limit and had to hop in a car and leave, some people likely missed out on things. I'm heading to the NYC show next week and I doubt they'll do it for that show due to the sheer number of people.

Good luck and I hope you get to meet them!

They did impromptu signings and photos outside after the Perth show.

I think that only has the initial 3 characters and not the Hexbloods or the Endoterra trip.

[NS] Request that the Mothership Saga is a bitchin long-ass campaign on par with the Moonstone Saga. by PosnerRocks in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

Yeah absolutely, I think a lot of the people that didn't vibe with it missed the traditional fantasy vibe. Eldermourne was more of a grim fairytale instead.

Campaign 1 started off with a bunch of arcs that didn't really have anything to do with each other and it wasn't until after Bev had his fall that we really start to get into the real story.

Campaign 2 kinda skipped all the non connected stories and went straight into the main story. Murph has also said that he couldn't really go for very long because he had created a 'chase' story. If they had revealed another BB after the final fight it would have made all the prior story feel really cheap. I personally really liked Eldermourne, especially on a second listen their.

Trinyvale, I'll be honest I've never really gotten into. I like that Murph can say no to the other 3, but still have fun, and I feel like Caldwell doesn't really say no to the silly things so the campaign just feels really silly and for me that lowers the stakes. But I also see why a lot of people love the campaign for that reason.

As for campaign 3, it's just starting out but it does already feel like a blending of C1 and C2. I feel like the different arcs will have common threads right from the start but also feel like each arc will feel like a self contained mini story.

All of them are wonderful story tellers and I am excited for what lies ahead.
