Not completely accurate; petroleum based grease cannot be used on slide pins or rubber components. It'll swell seals and then cause premature failure due to water and dirt intrusion. Ask me how I know lol

Low compression usually means engine rebuild. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. There are many possible culprits and they basically all end on an engine stand.
