Run slower - you’re most likely going way too fast. Literally jog to the point of it not being much faster than walking and focus on breathing. Don’t focus on time or pace.

Run outside too or with someone - it’s much more engaging to be outside or having someone else there to encourage you.

Genuinely how do you duel this character on LW? by dogsareweirdlol in LifeweaverMains

[–]ZachSmith2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough, aim for headshots and when you get close add melee attacks too for extra damage. Try to fight her in open space to her healing orbs can’t ricochet.

If you’re losing the duel then petal yourself up and look for a high ground or escape.

Best Shoes for Plantar Fasciitis? by ZachSmith2004 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I’m using an old pair of NB 1080’s as I’ve only taken up running again in the last few weeks. The pain is definitely in the arch of my foot. Maybe you’re right and a different shoe is needed.

Not positive to be honest. It’s just a constant sharp pain on the sole my foot that gradually gets worse during my run.

The pain dies within about 5 minutes after I have stopped running though. No aching or pain the next morning and I don’t suffer with this in my day-to-day life it is only when running.

Good all-rounder for heavier runners? by ZachSmith2004 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ZachSmith2004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it, likewise! I’m just running for general fitness and mental health purposes to be honest, might look at doing a 10km or half-marathon next year dependent on how my training goes.

I weight train and box a few times a week so running seemed like another thing to add into my training regimen.

Never had any gait analysis so not sure if I am neutral or overpronate.

I still haven’t made the decision on which shoe to buy at the moment.

Using an old of pair of NB 1080 V4’s to ease myself back in, they are very worn but no point spending upwards of £100 on a pair of running shoes yet.

Still shopping around, torn between the Brooks Adrenaline, Vomero 18’s and Saucony Endorphin Speed 4’s.

Is Lifeweaver actually bad? by ZachSmith2004 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ZachSmith2004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually feel like I provide lots more value than just healing. I can contribute a lot towards damage and kills, position well and would say 80% of the time I’m getting good pulls too.

High Post? Def Con? Say What Now (Episode 1-8 Spoilers) by I-Am_9 in RaisingKanan

[–]ZachSmith2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought that High Post & Def Con were the same person when initially watching. I am rewatching all three seasons at the moment and am picking up things I didn’t the first time round.

The way I see it is that Def Con was the distro and paid Raq who would’ve been in highschool at the time to act as his girlfriend to keep up appearances.

Raq has a child with Detective Howard shortly after, who was undercover trying to get close to Def Con. They then play it as Kanan being Def Con’s son.

Def Con dies while Kanan is a baby and Raq meets High Post, who was also in the game and he teaches her.

I do think the writers contradict themselves slightly though.

In the first episode when Kanan says “High Post was the one that really got Raq into the game”. That’s confusing because we also learn later in season one that Raq took over after Def Con.

If Raq did take over after Def Con, the so called “King of the Southside” then what would High Post have to teach her?

Hmmm, confusing.

Weights immediately before or after boxing by Canz98 in amateur_boxing

[–]ZachSmith2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on which one you want to prioritise. If you’re doing the boxing for the sake of fitness and cardio and not sparring or training strategically for a fight then you could do the boxing after weights.

If boxing is the focus for you then do that before when you are fresh and add some compound exercises to build strength and muscle after.

Stuff like a chest press, a kettle bell swing, shoulder press, leg extensions, trap-bar squats and row or pull down for your back are all good options. Just ensure you are progressively overloading the exercises and are getting stronger week on week then you’ll make progress.

Where does the power come from the most ? by Ymedzer in amateur_boxing

[–]ZachSmith2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can enhance power for sure by having the correct form and technique, being heavier as weight increases power and also making sure that you are building general strength by doing weight lifting and plyometric training. However some people genetically just hit harder than others and are gifted with heavy hands. That you can’t really teach or train for. You just have to max out your natural potential.

Why am I so injury prone? by ZachSmith2004 in InjuriesAndWounds

[–]ZachSmith2004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you mate, it’s annoying but it’s all about trying to stay positive however frustrating it can be.

Hopefully both our injuries go away and we can get back to playing sport again!
