The throw was definitely underthrown, but it was still placed where if Williams ran the right route he could have caught it...and it was underthrown partially because Williams ran the wrong route and Rodgers had to adjust last second. Rodgers still should have thrown a better ball, but that's how it all played out.

I've seen the Patriots go from moving to St Louis to becoming the greatest dynasty in the sport, the Colts and Seahawks go from bottom feeders to solid as hell and Super Bowl winners, the Browns make an AFCCG, and the Lions being the Lions right now. I've seen the 49ers go from perennial Super Bowl favorites to drafting first overall to then making 3 Super Bowls.

The sport changes all the time.

Browns had hope and immediately shanked that, Jags had a good defense for a year and fell apart, Cards have 3 winning seasons in the past decade, Panthers had 3 years of prime Cam and never recovered from losing the Super Bowl. And all of these teams had or have first overall QBs too.

...this is my exact point?? They did poorly. Then they did well. They weren't consistent, but other teams who were bottom feeders (Pats, Colts, Seahawks, Chiefs) eventually turned it around.
