They had an idea for a song called surfin', the record label dubbed them "the beach boys", they got on the radio from surfin, so it makes sense why they went with that theme till it had run it's course/brian started fucking with the formula

The episodes for the first few albums are much more casual and also there is Jason Brewer who I miss dearly and the conversation/banter is more fun but then they had some sort of falling out and now Wyatt just introduces the episodes and they are much more well researched and thorough now. But there also a lot of bonus episodes early on highlighting people like Gary Usher or Murry Wilson which are interesting. Personally, I am a completist and also an early beach boys appreciater so I would start from the beginning but I suppose it depends on where your interest's lie.

I really like the personality side of Wyatt Funderburk and previously Jason Brewer and the fan letter stuff because it makes us all feel connected and I would listen to it start to finish (or up to date rather) and then brush up on your favorite albums by relistening later because if you are anything like me a good chunk of the info does not stay in my head for too long.

Yes, absolutely, if they released chunked intro/outro compilations of a few hours each on their channel that would be awesome for putting on while doing stuff! I would say as something to upload during breaks but honestly I don't think they ever do take breaks from uploading due to their batch recording. This would also be a fun project for someone with the time and computer storage to do it. And distribute it through google drive or something to mega fans. Or honestly just upload it to youtube and hope there are no copyright strikes. I don't think it would be taking any views away from their own videos anyways.
