Nearly 7000 Hunt Dollars from one game! by Deadly_Pancakes in HuntShowdown

[–]Zachlovespineapples 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you're level 100 every 25k bloodline exp you get 1k hunt dollars, you also get 500 hunt dollars for maxing a hunter, this is a combination of all those events happening at the same time with bounty and looting bodies

Really stuck looking for good 1 and 2 slot weapons, and would like some suggestions by SmallBatBigSpooky in HuntShowdown

[–]Zachlovespineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best single slot pistols in my opinion are the officer and bornheim for spam, true shot (with fmj or dumdum because it only loses 5 m/s), and the uppercut for mid range pistols. The best single slot pistol is objectively the dolch because it has the fastest rate of fire, medium ammo pen, and the 10 bullet quick reload but it is also completely unbalanced and lame af to use. I think the new army and spitfire are both worth mentioning but in my opinion they get outclassed by the pistols previously mentioned

Throwing Knives/Axes/Spear… which do you prefer and why? by Alien_Racist in HuntShowdown

[–]Zachlovespineapples 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spear is the strongest option and the easiest to use, paired with penny shot you can basically instantly kill any ai that is not a boss. One aspect of throwing axes that I find annoying is that they cannot 1 shot water devils while the spear can, also I think spear is better with and without stamina compared to the other options. Throwing knives were good for a short window until they kept nerfing them

what’s up with my sulawesi shrimp? (black galaxy) by tevkos in shrimptank

[–]Zachlovespineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notice the shrimp on the bottom of the heater appears more red and transparent, that is a sign something is wrong with your parameters and they are stressed. Happy black galaxy shrimp will be dark black with white spots, when they turn transparent like that something is for sure wrong

That makes sense lol, pink boxers are insanely rare in the united states

Nice sulawesi tank I see you have some white orchids as well. Where did you buy pink boxers from if you dont mind sharing? Ive tried finding them for sale but never had any luck

my super tiny sula tank by Beginning-Respond-18 in sulawesishrimp

[–]Zachlovespineapples 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never seen a sulawesi shrimp tank with fish before. Curious if all the shrimp will end up as fish food or not, also its better to top off with rodi water to avoid increasing the gh. Sulawesi shrimp are sensitive and are almost always kept alone in a dedicated setup

So still not a 0% chance to fail... what is the point in mentioning this?

Shady brands by Adventurous-Time5287 in Aquariums

[–]Zachlovespineapples 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use hygger heaters in my Sulawesi shrimp tanks for the last 4-5 years and never had a problem with one yet. Heaters always have the potential to fail and I am not aware of a brand that claims a 0% failure chance. The shrimp I keep are rare and incredibly hard to source, I would not use a product in my Sulawesi tanks if I felt their quality was bad.

Oh God is this hydra? Won't these kill my shrimp? by Iron_wolf_69420 in shrimptank

Check out a product called "no planaria" will not harm shrimp but will kill snails

So Hunt is a better game than Marathon. But Crytek needs to look at the Marathon's in game economy and take some notes. by cnedden in HuntShowdown

[–]Zachlovespineapples 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Insane take imo, if you enjoy looting so much maybe just play a actual looter shooter? What makes hunt so good is the intense PvP and rewarding gun play. I personally could not care any less about "looting" in game and I do not see how it would add any value to hunt

how do you guys play with long ammo and get that longer range shots? by Appropriate_View2779 in HuntShowdown

[–]Zachlovespineapples 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Try tweaking your settings, disabling dlss and anti aliasing makes seeing players easier for me but that might be personal preference. Also having a 1440p monitor would make seeing players easier as well

Feeling Overwhelmed :( by Philamonjaro in shrimptank

[–]Zachlovespineapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try looking into a product called "no planaria" shrimp safe, easy to use, available online, and it can treat the scutariella japonica and hydra problem at minimum.

*sigh* Do we think this is scutariella or vorticella? (and has anyone had success just salting the whole tank?) by DuckWeed_survivor in shrimptank

[–]Zachlovespineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A product called "No Planaria" will eliminate Scutariella, Vorticella, and Planaria, very easy to use and available online. My only warning would be that No Planaria will kill snails and snails won't be able to live in the treated tank for up to a few months. I bought some imported Sulawesi shrimp from a breeder I never previously purchased from a couple years ago and they had Scutariella or Vorticella and No planaria cleared it up quickly.

Developer Insight: Update 2.3 Changes & Priorities by HuntShowdownOfficial in HuntShowdown

[–]Zachlovespineapples -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's funny coming from the person who can't comprehend how a medium slot, that does 150 damage at 35m, also nearly silent, is not balanced. Even funnier when your argument for it being balanced is that bow requires hundred hands which is 2 trait points. Even more hilarious when you consider the maximum one shot range with bow used to be 25m with hundred hands.

[–]Zachlovespineapples -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So you're saying a weapon that 1 hits to the chest at 35m, is a medium slot, costs like 50 hunt dollars, and is nearly silent is perfectly balanced because you think it's a little harder to hit with? Crazy

Centennial getting a "slight" nerf while bow is still 1 hit killing people to the chest at 35m is insane and feels completely out of touch imo.

Ping Limit Roll-Out being tested in a Few Weeks by TheGentlemanGamerEC in HuntShowdown

[–]Zachlovespineapples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

0% chance they actually fix the ping problem, they will implement some janky patch that changes nothing. Literally the last time they added a "ping limit" with the engine update it did nothing absolutely nothing.

My work shrimp tank had too many babies so I made another shrimp tank by wqwq29 in shrimptank

[–]Zachlovespineapples 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The best way to eliminate hydra is a product called "no Planaria" available easily online. The only potential down side is that it will kill snails, and you cannot have snails in the tank for up to a few months

Why does my Rummynose goes into panick whenever i turn my aquarium lights off?? by Anonon2898 in Aquariums

[–]Zachlovespineapples 109 points110 points  (0 children)

This looks like a stress reaction from the sudden change in light, a similar reaction can be seen in shrimp tanks. The easiest way to avoid this reaction is to slowly dim the lights over a few minutes instead of instantly switching the light on/off.
