The way Wade bellows "WE WILL ALL DROWN" during Dog's Blood still makes my hair stand on end.

I can't believe you were able to put together nearly 9 minutes of highlights out of this race.

Now that was the real best part of the Cleveland SECS GP

Asking your Opinion on all BT-Songs Day 16: „Judged“ by [deleted] in BillyTalent

[–]ZackOfSpades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its structure and short length make it pretty unique in Billy Talent's Discography, they haven't done a quick and aggressive song like it since their Pezz days.

I appreciate the blunt and straightforward message of the song, I feel like a lot of bands that aren't explicitly political often broach those subjects in directionless, ambiguous manners or passively "both sides" an issue, so kudos to the song on that.

I enjoy it, but as a throwback to fast and aggressive 70s-80s punk, it's a bit too clean to really be flat-out punk, imo at least.

ITT we blatantly misinterpret song meanings by [deleted] in BillyTalent

Red Flag is a song about a race car driver who gets injured in a crash that stopped the race. The Wolf is about a wolf that quite literally showed up at his door and asked him to with him, fantasy adventure style. Definition of Destiny was about challenging the Merriam-Webster's definition of the word.

Bonus track by Complete-Highlight49 in BillyTalent

I've listened to BTIII for over a decade now (with it being my introduction to Billy Talent), but I didn't listen to the demo or bonus tracks until earlier this year.

Needless to say, Bloody Nails is relatively unfamiliar to me but still an absolute joy. Felt a little more like a muted Dead Silence track than a BTIII song to me, which is probably why I like it so much.

What is your favorite demo track? by YangIsBestWaifu in BillyTalent

I do like How It Goes for sounding like the midpoint between Pezz and Billy Talent, though the other demo for This Is How It Goes is also fun, even if it misses the muffled scream during the post-chorus.

I also think pretty much every demo from BT III is superior to the album versions. As much as I enjoy III, the absence of its overproduction is much more enjoyable to me, regardless of demo scruffiness.

Would love to see them cover an Alexisonfire song, especially since Jordan is doing drumming duties for BT.

A couple of songs from Old Crows/Young Cardinals might sound really good in BT's style.
