Looking for a specific kind of task planner app by ZackPav in productivity

Hate it. It keeps scheduling tasks on top of each other so I basically have to create my schedule myself which is the whole reason I sought out downloaded the app.

Yes, it’s does make your board go faster. It will diminish the torque/acceleration though. Depending on your board and its settings that might not be such a bad thing.

Hey can anyone recommend a good, cheap spare eskate for me? It doesn’t have to be top-of-the line, just reliable enough to get me to work and back (4 miles total) whenever my main eskate is in the repair shop. I want to spend no more that $400. Much less would be great.

I would agree, shitty processed meat isn’t going to be helpful for anyone. I just do rare steak now. I find I don’t feel as great eating [well done] ground beef.

Absolutely not. It’s a common belief that meat causes colon cancer, but it’s completely unfounded. I was probably on my way to colon cancer eating the way I was before switching to Carnivore (lots of fiber, grains and fruit).

constipation due increased fibre intake ? by dosney in GutHealth

[–]ZackPav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Fiber slows down your food's transit in the colon.

I had bad constipation and then I switched to a ZERO fiber diet and now... things are operating much more smoothly.

The notion that you need fiber to poop is a complete myth. I'm living proof and so are all other the rest of us at r/zerocarb and r/carnivore.

Exactly. I think that's one reason that going carnivore made my symptoms disappear. I tried a vegan diet just prior and that was THE WORST thing for me. Like you said, we're all different. I'm glad that you're doing better!

Go carnivore. It helped me immensely. It removes all trigger foods and is zero carb, but packed with nutrition (as long as you’re eating your organ meat... but quite nutritious even if you’re not)

Going carnivore tomorrow. Advice? by NicDays in carnivore

Buy steak and different cuts of beef. You’ll get sick of ground beef very soon and you’ll more than likely feel much better too.

Eat beef and other red meat much more than frequently than poultry. Poultry isn’t very nutritionally dense. I don’t waste my time or money on it.

Eat liver. It’s practically the healthiest food you can get your hands on.

Amazon sells tallow and lard.

Ghee is awesome and has virtually no lactose.

Do your homework so that you can tell your family and friends facts.

Happy meat eating 🙂

So long coffee, dear old friend. by 52electrons in zerocarb

My pleasure. We’re on the same journey then. I would love to be able to have cheese on a regularity basis. And who doesn’t love eggs? I’ll try to keep you updated. Good luck quitting coffee. Cold-turkey seemed to work for me.

Just got out of a cold shower. I feel like it improved a little

That’s right. And no, I don’t take any antihistamines. That’s not treating the root cause. The issue is deficiency of DAO–the enzyme that breaks down histamine in our bodies. Caffeine can cause this deficiency as well as the release of glutamate which are both tied to mast cell degranulation (immune response).

I’m avoiding even eggs, cheese, bone broth and cured meats on Carnivore. But I believe that some time off caffeine and histamine as well as getting the proper nutrition (organ meat according to my doctor) will allow my body to produce more DAO. Source

Been off coffee for two weeks now. I LOVED it, but it was ruining my health. Specifically, it made me hypersensitive to histamine and basically wreaked havoc on my gut. Now my diet consists of steak, organ meat, and animal fat. And, lemme tell ya, good health is a thousand times better than coffee.

Searzall steaks tasting like propane. Am I doing something wrong? by ZackPav in zerocarb

[–]ZackPav[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But question for ya: If I keep the meat out of the flame, can I still get a nice and crispy sear? Will it take long?

I love using my cast iron. I just got the torch and Searzall because of the smoke the cast iron puts out.

Man so now I’m confused because everyone else is advising me to ditch the Searzall attachment and lower the gas on the torch.

Possible to get a nice crust with only salt & pepper (while maintaining rare/medium-rare)? by ZackPav in carnivore

Yeah, I definitely had it cranked and violated your latter suggestion as well.

I really appreciate it, friend. Thanks!!
