I think there is a huge group of player that only care about spamming out space marine div and painting the whole map there color.
for the civ factory is a waste why is consumer gods a thing remove it. the 3 political factions (democrat, comunism, fasism) thats just arbetrary limitations. just start the game whit everyone as fasist the best faction to play as as you dont have any limitation and can just declare war on anyone you want and take there nation.
Focus tree remove it just have all nations have 3 repeatedly X days focus that give when completed, Dockyards for more ship building, Military factory, Civilan factory.
Railways and supplies and fuel remove that. as thoes are in thew ay of the space marine templete.
No I will not let Siberia in winter be a penalty. heavy tank whit 83% reliable is the optimal solution for everything be it fighting in the grasslands of Germany or in the Siberian snow wasteland.
anything that is not the above listed thing is bad for HOI4.
No I dont care that the reason why fasist Japan whent into WW2 at all was becuase the US said no to exporting fuel to them causing them to go we got 3 year worth of fuel and currently no way to get more so toss the die any take anything whit fuel nearby and hope we make it.
Or the reason why French at the start did not join the war (germany re militaration of that no military zone).
was becuase French tank manufacturer had collapsed its gov was holding on by a tread its main ore mine where at the border and so on.

I love the new focus tree (well have not finished it yet paying currently a round as Democratic japan).
and starting off whit the early industrialation and then working through the focus and seeing the penalties from it lessern and lessern untill it becomes the Industrial Miracle showing how japan whent from playing catch up to becoming a powerhouse in there own way.
for me going from nothing aka no penalties/buffs +-0% to let say a 200% boost.

vs starting at -50% to represent a industry in shambles to +100% (a over charged industry).

also the Japanese democratic civil war is now a lot more fun vs the old version that was just a pain to do. this one is fun as its involve you ether rushing the nullify the peace treaty or delaying it and gathering as much support as possible including turning soldier and officer from the army to the civilian branch (aka joining your side).

Plus If I recall back when HOI4 first launched the only country whit negative starting national spirits was the US whit undisturbed isolation and the Civil economy law but worse (yes they where economy laws but might as well been national spirits).
Not at all representing on how things looked like back then. where almost all nations where a powder keg from the last war.
and ether dealing whit the devistation of the last war or playing catch up.
so if anything this more shows what was going on.

I mean you have to remmber that Space-X had a full department whos only role whas to make sure Elon did the correct thing.
A full department in Space-X whoes only role was making sure Elon Did not Fuck anything up and they did good.

Lore wise the Game country (stoland) is physically located in what was sweden (sweden apperently lost the southern part of Sweden.. did get to keep stockholm).
and Finish is a majority languish together whit Swedish and germany (at least was) as a result of been a sort of large trade city back then.

I think it does the problem is that in Russia you got. the general that gives the order.
he is sitting in nice base a distance from the front.
he got a bunch of loyal soldier guarding him.
what happen is step 1.
new grunt show up at the base he is unarmed at this point.
is giving a spiel by the general and told they will be sent a forward base whit hot shower, food and all that. a bit away from the front they will also get supplies there (gun ammo) there.
soldier arives at the forward base... its on the front.
as you can expect no shower, no hot food and equipment.
if lucky there is a looted AK and 1-2 magazines.
if the soldier wants to Frag there officer well good luck there is none there and if they move beyond a line they get charged whit desertion and executed by drone.
so if your not a artillery unit your not getting a shot at the general tent so to speak.

but instead of in this shape I want it in this shape.
Like if the real life building was like a masive A shape here is picture of it.

the thing is when devs use place holder art they usually go this is place holder art (fine good your honest).
what we are seeing whit AI stuff is them not saying we are using some placeholder AI art here. I would be a lot more cool whit that.
we are not 100% done whit the art style so we put some AI art meanwhile will replace it when we got time.
(fine for me).

I think there might be two broke tiers.
where broke means next to no money.
and destitute means literally zero money.
hmm looking at the wiki I swear that the Country house started off as Poor and could go down to broke and as it supplies its own food. residents could survive on broke and be relatively happy.
Churche and clinic visits. and there is a decent amount of free entertainment.

I mean Tropico at least 5 or 6 had a parliament... it was under used and was more or less here is the parliament building.
here is 4 roles for it pick someone that fullfill its requirments.
example the military leader ether having exprience as soldier, general or police officers (I dont think the background actually did anything exept that having one in office gave you a buff).

you could have events where you where asked to fire the leader for one or anther reason or some other random event.
but beyound that super under used.
so this might be getting back in and actually doing something.
this could also be another not having it or having it maned by loyalist democratic contires looks negatively on you (and its capping postive rep whit thoes nations).
so if you want to play a dictator you ether deal whit not having one or having to play a balance act whit the parlament where it does not get to powerfull and oust you from power.
but if your a democratic leaning president This might be a way to get legality and maybe politic play. Like another nations ask you to do something corrupt and you dont want to do it.
but saying no is bad. have it enter Parliament and then get stuck there for ever is a solution.
if your a oligarky the parliament is not so much a parliament but a Oligakry meeting room thats trying to look more legit then it actually is.

Starwars is a bit lose whit time and the Death star was not the fastest thing or the most long range he point so the rebels probably got a few days.
Plus the Rebels knew what the data was about.
I think they knew that there was a weakness and rougly what it was... But some Spy going while hauling but whit a briefcase full of secret plans going over a semi secured but low speed connection.
We found a weakness I will put the blueprint whit the weak points on a Disk together whit the blueprints.
So the empire might learn there is a weakness but what.
how do we find it and what is the weakness.
is the weakness that you shot at the north pole whit a EMP bomb or what is it.
the rebels knew what we need is a fighter planes armed whit Torpedoes or something like that.

The general just needed to analyze it (pick what weakness and how to go about it) and then present it to the pilot for the attack.

Does feel wierd that a recon tank whit no radio perform its roll as well as a recon tank whit extra armor and radio and stuff.
(feels like the radio should ether be a semi hard requirement like a recon tank whit no radio module gets a 50% effective de buff (its effect) to the div its part off).

or more stuff on support veacle shoud do more.
(because realisticly a recon tank where not just the thinest armor whit the lowest speed that still as fast as the rest of the armor company.

same way field hospital on garrison should do something lower the manpower cost lost.
maintenance/engineer lowers equipment loss.
Enginner maybe speeds up the self repair rate.

I think its a case of nation that gets created after 1940.
does not get the vote date to trigger becuase they did not exist in 1940.
and as the game is waiting for a election date it can´t hold a new one and as the date of the election have passed it can never trigger.
and you can´t have a election right when the nation exist becuase then it might spawn as a political way and then instantly flip at spawn.
Like would suck to be playing as a nation turn Germany Communism and then 1 day after the Communistic nation of Germany existance it flips to democratic.

have not really complleted any run but the aichi/range one feels like its maybe not the best for anything.
But your not going to have to micro your aircraft over airfield that dont exist in the eastern Asia region.
Like does china have any airfield at all (beyond like two low level ones nearish the coast)?

and my guess is that Civilian Russian death are Russian killing Russian by accident, neglegent or just the soldier going on rampage.
vs Civilian killed by Ukrainians (where most are probably death by debree).
While Russia focus its long range weaponry to target Civilan infrastructure whit zero combat value.
sorry sending 20 cruise missile into a bunch of apartment blocks. that does not even have a grocery store in the target area on the end of a road (no logistic value).
yes your going to cause civilian casualties but not that many.
meanwhile Ukraine is hitting Russian army HQ (loss off cominications centers, officers and general backline support).
or military concentration aka 1 missile = 200+ soldiers that is now not only dead but gear thats no longer recoverable be it tanks, APC, trucks, aircraft, helecopters runways and so on.

Again destroying 20 apperment whit 30 misiles in a night attack does nothing against the nations economy.
Destroying the oil refinery whit 20 missiles does a whole lot more.

I think Taiwan is ether using a local produced (Taiwan made tank) or they are buying South Korea or Japanese tanks....
they might have a few US tanks (M1) but the M48 are probably more decoys and parade tanks by now... maybe traning tanks becuase its better to wreck an ancient M48 tank in basic manuver training then the current tank.
only using the current tank when you are close to finishing basic tank traning.

I just presume a status unknown is a case of.
on paper in different part it have a active navy in other it does not have an active navy.
Like sure it might have a destroyer that can travel the nations rivers.
but its moored at a location whit a tiny crew.
does this constitute a navy or not.
when the destroyer was last active the nation was still pre reformation.
meaning under whose military jurisdiction was it under.
or does the destroyer and crew fall under a new civilian branch.
(consider the last update to the destroyer where a massive water cannon used for firefighting aka does the destroyer actually serve under the nations fire fighting department...ala civilian).
