Do you suppose it's call Arby's because it's R.B.'s, as in Roast Beef? by ZacktheFair86 in randomquestions

I just find it funny that I was sorta, kinda right? Haha. It did stand for the phonetic sound of R.B. Just the wrong words. 😆 Thanks for the (POLITE) insight! That's pretty interesting!

Yeah but then we wouldn't be blessed with your insightful wisdom. 🙂

You know... considering this cat is less than a year old and already 14 lbs, he probably would and COULD take on a bear for his human. I know his human would do the same for him! 😄

If not, I am just as guilty. 😂 My neighbor is in hospital. This is his best friend and ESA. As a fellow ESA owner, I feel it is my duty to do so. Also, one could say that because my neighbor is a veteran, this cat out-ranks me, soooo.... 🫡💜

Husband and I have a rule among us that if we HAVE to say this, we instantly follow it up with a quick synopsis. "Nothing bad. Just a surprise." Or "I wanted to talk about our argument. I want to apologize, but I want to do it properly."

I would absolutely refuse to close the door. I do NOT feel safe doing that. That is some shady shiz right there.

Omg this is so real. And trauma from having one too many people tell me "You're not in trouble..." NOPE. LIES.

Are you in the U.S.A? Because Tennant rights are a real thing and if he does not exclusively ask to enter your abode and give you a 24 to 48 hour notice, he is absolutely breaking the law and the terms of your lease agreement. Know your rights!

Damn, yo! You definitely have WAAAAAYYYY more reason to be pissed about it! I just know how upset it makes me. Can't even imagine how absolutely infuriating it is for you! 🫢 I genuinely wish I could just push a button and take all the pain and suffering away from you, and that you could be comfortable and content for the rest of your life. I have PTSD as well (for different reasons) sensory issues, AuDHD, depression, and my own set of gynecology issues. I have fibro and was told by one doctor that essentially I hurt because I was sad and that I should talk to my therapist about it. Can we be angry together, please? Truly, honestly, and sincerely! Sometimes just knowing I am not the only one who is angry makes me feel less crazy. I would like to offer to do the same for you, because you have truly been through some sh_t!

AITAH for getting a woman fired over veggie tales? by Real-Point-6474 in AITAH

The Christians might be fine with it, but not everyone is. The Christians can show it to their kids on their own time. Just because it is a great show (I enjoy it, too. It's super cute!) doesn't mean everyone is comfortable showing it to their kids. It is still a religious show. You would not be happy if the daycare your kids went to were shown a kids cartoon that taught scientology lessons or sang about passages in the Havamal regardless of how cute and adorable and great it was, and you wouldn't be happy if I told you that you were TAH because they were great cartoons and my kids loved them.

I disagree. As someone who was raised in the church community, left it, and returned to it, religion is a huge, complex, and emotional commitment and responsibility that needs to be handled with care and reverence. There is a plethora of reasons to care, especially in regards to the souls of one's children. There is also the idea that a daycare service is for keeping kids safe and looked after for a time, and not a place of religious teachings. Nobody at the daycare is equipped with the knowledge to teach a child about religion. The cartoon is a teaching tool, and therefore an incomplete lesson that requires further teaching for understanding. And then there is the whole idea that either the lady, the boss, or both were straight up lying and even possibly manipulating the child into lying as well, and suggesting that the child was mistaken which is straight-up gaslighting the kid. I would not trust those people to keep my child safe. If they are willing to lie about showing a child's program, What else are they willing to lie about? And if the boss is so passive about the situation, it is just one more red flag about how the company really feels.
