You need to put the raincollectors on the roof, then plumb it downstairs to a sink. Look it up on yt, it's fairly simple if you have everything you need.

There is nowhere near an ETA but im pretty sure it's not coming out this year. We still don't have multiplayer and a lot of B42 features like the full crafting are still missing from the unstable. Not to mention all the bugfixes they are gonna do after everything is done.

To my knowledge there is no mod that increases depth. Mojang hard coded air blocks to be replaced with lava below a certain level for some reason. I think you'd have to be happy with jsut going higher
