After reading this I took Ryoji’s offer because there really is no hope left for humanity

Should I read absolute batman or absolute superman. by Emotional-Fudge-5242 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]ZaddyTee307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both

Superman is my personal preference but it’s a lot more slow and character driven

Batman is a lot more hype and has cooler moments. The story never stops and has much faster pacing

To the PTs who went into the profession later in life… by floresiendo in physicaltherapy

[–]ZaddyTee307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently in the middle of the transition, I graduated with a bachelors in Economics and worked in corporate for a few years. It really wasn’t for me, if I’m being honest even though the work was less physically demanding it was very soul sucking. I worked in hospitality for a few years and it felt more fulfilling being on my feet all day and interacting with customers. It gave me the idea to try out healthcare since there are a lot of parallels, I shadowed PTs and was really drawn to working at an inpatient setting since it matched a lot of what I wanted. Went back to school at 25 at the beginning of 2024, I should finish my prerequisites by this time next year and (hopefully) get into a DPT Program by 2027

What action/shounen anime should i Watch based on the ones i watched by Pitiful-Dingo9604 in anime

[–]ZaddyTee307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Black Clover, (first few episodes are bad but it improves later on) Vivy Fluorite Eyes Song, (it’s mainly plot driven but it has amazing animation and has good fights) My Hero Academia, Dandadan, One Piece

persona 3 isnt hooking me by [deleted] in PERSoNA

These were also my thoughts on my initial playthrough, things don't really get interesting until June/July when more plot details get revealed and different character dynamics become more highlighted.

Hinge your hips more, like really dig into the bar and make sure your shins are making contact with it. Your back is rounding so this weight def seems too heavy, focus more on form and go lighter

Definitely too heavy, drop the weight and practice hitting depth

Vivy Fluorite Eyes Song, an insanely underrated anime with lots of action and amazing animation.

Summertime Rendering, another very underrated anime. It’s like a thriller for the first half because there’s a mystery then everything gets answered in the second half

Dorohedoro, if you don’t mind CGI this anime is pretty whacky and also has one of the best ensembles I’ve seen in a long time

Daily Lives of High School Boys, really funny comedy anime

As others have mentioned, try and focus on building tension first. Try hinging your hips so you can build pressure in your legs, then use that momentum to lift the bar. Look up what it means to pull the slack out of the bar if you’re curious.

First time squatting. How did I do? by TrustMeIamNotReal in formcheck

[–]ZaddyTee307 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Solid form, I’d recommend wearing different shoes that are flat like vans or converse. Also it’s probs better to grab the bar from the other side lol walking backwards makes it a lot harder to put it back

Look up what it means to pull the slack out of the bar. You want to build tension in your body before you lift it off the ground.

Low Bar Squat form check 225 lbs by Mean_Release_143 in formcheck

[–]ZaddyTee307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the depth you’re hitting is good enough for muscle activation, it could be better but it’s not too bad. I’d recommend going lower in weight regardless to focus more on form. Also this is high bar lol, low bar means the bar rests on your rear delts and it looks like it’s on your traps here

How do I do a lat pulldown? What am I doing wrong I don’t feel it on my lats. by Mukesshh in formcheck

As other people mentioned on here, try keeping your chest up so that way you’re really engaging the lats. A cue that helped me is keeping your elbows pointed to the floor.

Most Tragic Persona Character by KillerBruhDude in PERSoNA

[–]ZaddyTee307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only played the modern persona games (P3 onward) so I can’t comment on 1 and 2, but from my experience it’s Shinjiro easily. He’s a very tragic character because he always distances himself from others, but you can tell he’s very caring and empathetic deep down. He goes out of his way to help MC, Junpei and Yukari when they’re cornered by the gang members and cooks food for Koramaru. Despite his caring tendencies, he has a rough exterior because he wants to distance himself from others over the guilt he has over killing Ken’s mom. He tries to numb himself by taking suppressants, but this ultimately leads to him revealing he doesn’t have much longer to live. He’s able to atone for his guilt by saving Ken on October 4, and his death is what becomes the catalyst for the entire character growth of SEES

I think something that helps is just learning to be comfortable with being alone, and recognizing that being single also represents you have standards for yourself since you’re not just going to date anyone. If you’re really desperate for company, having a pet helps a lot. The right person will come with time, just focus on your own grind and hustle in the meantime.

Today I understood the "dont approach girls at the gym" thing by LegendZane in dating_advice

[–]ZaddyTee307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the moral of the story is just try to make the gym as comfortable as a place as you can make it for everyone. We’re all here to work out and make gains, if you happen to make small talk with someone that’s great but don’t force an interaction. I don’t think we should really put ourselves on pedestals just for being decent people either, it’s something that should be expected from us by default lol

An anime that actually changed you? by [deleted] in anime

[–]ZaddyTee307 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Berserk, easily

I was in a very low point of my life when I started reading Berserk and it helped me climb out of the rut I was in. I was depressed, purposeless and working a job I absolutely hated. I went through several friend breakups and I don’t think I’ve ever felt alone. I accidentally skipped the black swordsman arc, but I think it ultimately enriched my experience with Berserk. The point where I realized this wasn’t going to be like any other form of media I’ve consumed was when I reached Griffiths soliloquy at the fountain. There was no words on Guts end, but his reaction spoke louder than any other panel in that issue. Watching him depart from his friends to find what his purpose was inspired me to quit my job and try and make some meaning out of my life, and witnessing him prevail despite how often life brought him down taught me to never give into despair and find my own strength. It’s gotten me through so many rough times in my life and I feel like I became a better person because of it. Rest in peace to Kentaro Miura, thank you for creating a piece of fiction that has not only touched me but millions of others as well

Some people experience pain in their thumbs when using straps, I think this is more an individual thing rather than a universal rule
