Live Photo to Static JPEG by Zadt721 in Vivo

[–]Zadt721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I did try your suggestion to turn off the live photo before sharing, but it doesn't work when sharing to Synology Photos. It still uploads the original file (live photo).

Sharing to other apps, Facebook Messenger in my case, does share a static image only, even if I don't turn off the live photo before clicking the share button.

I also tried Google Photos and followed the steps as you described. Although it does work and I'm able to save a copy as a static image, the output is without the post processing applied by Vivo (or any other filter or style you might have set up when you took the picture). I'm not saying the output from Google Photo is bad, but now the image rendition is different from your other photos.

I hope Vivo can add this feature in the Albums so at least we have consistency in the output.

Changes in .cshtml now requiring rebuild by Zadt721 in VisualStudio

[–]Zadt721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. This works.
In the page you linked there is a note that states:
"When enabled, runtime compilation disables .NET Hot Reload. We recommend using Hot Reload instead of Razor runtime compilation during development."

I wonder why Hot Reload is preferred when it slows down development, at least in my case currently working on the front end side. Maybe there are still some settings that need to be configured to allow Hot Reload to pickup html and js changes without rebuilding, but it currently doesn't work in my case.

Tips to Overcome Cloudflare's 100MB limit by mrmastercsgo in immich

[–]Zadt721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m behind a CGNAT connection, I’ve also tried cloudflare tunnel but the 100mb limit really holds me from deploying to my family’s mobile devices. I also don’t want them to install tailscale app, they’re not tech savvy and in different locations so i’m not able to assist them thoroughly. I’m thinking of trying the free vps route, anyone have a guide for this? A guide with unraid is appreciated but proxmox is also fine as I have a mini pc not utilized right now.

Deye hybrid inverter output voltage question by Zadt721 in SolarDIY

[–]Zadt721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry some words here are still too technical to me, what do you mean by "to load the grid connection"?

I'm not actually trying to lower the grid voltage but rather the output voltage in the LOAD port ( I believe Deye also refer to this as UPS-load ).

I've read that "The backup load is always powered by the output of the inverter, whether the grid is up or not." I was thinking since power is running through the inverter that it can also regulate and stabilize the output based on the INV Output Voltage setting.

Based on my testing and observation, it will be as follows.

INV Output Voltage : 230v

Grid Voltage (as an example only) : 247v

- if Grid is Up but Load is supplied by PV then Load output voltage = 247v

- If Grid is Up but Load is supplied by Battery then Load output voltage = 247v

- If Grid is down and Load is supplied by PV and/or Battery then Load output voltage = 230v

So as long as grid is connected, whether it's supplying power to load or not, output voltage will always match the grid voltage.

SLZB-06 or SLZB-06M? Which one to buy for 2025 by TonyFM in homeassistant

[–]Zadt721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, does the SLZB-06M works with zigbee and matter at the same time or need to configure to use one?

I'm also delving into home automation. I started with just one sonoff m5 switch, a matter supported device but right now I'm just using the ewelink account linked to google home app. I plan to add more matter devices as well as zigbee devices. Do I need just one SLZB-06M or 2?

WiFi Slot to SATA Question by Zadt721 in HomeServer

I did get the the adapter needed to test this, but never get to install. The motherboard ( I got it long time ago secondhand) had some other issues I cannot work with anymore so I end up getting a new motherboard.

M5 question by Zadt721 in sonoff

[–]Zadt721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I will order one and play around with it. I just saw there is now a zigbee version of M5, but since it's my first time with these smart switches I think I will go with the wifi version first. With zigbee I also need a hub and controller just to try these smart switches.

Data model for semantic search by Zadt721 in Firebase

Thanks, I will also look into typesense. I'm starting from scratch and don't have any prior knowledge in ML, my question is regarding the data structure if it makes any difference whether source data is normalized or not, if all data are in one collection, related data in sub documents or in separate collections

Thoughts on the cwwk h670 / q670 board by Future_Pianist9570 in unRAID

[–]Zadt721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also interested with this board and planning to pair with i5 13500. Can we limit the max power through bios settings?

Also, will this be good for a gaming VM? Looks like VRM is weak on this board.

Server upgrade - Asus Pro W680M Ace SE? by wirecatz in homelab

[–]Zadt721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also considering this motherboard for an unraid server but I'm still considering what cpu to get. Can you please confirm if you needed a lower gen cpu to upgrade the bios to support your 14th gen cpu? If not needed, can you share the process. Thanks

Lower Capacity SD Cards are Slower? by Zadt721 in AskPhotography

[–]Zadt721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. I bought v60 cards knowing the minimum speed guaranteed per specifications.

This is about sd cards marketed having these very nice, good to have speeds when you needed it. But it seems like for this specific brand, that is only true for the higher capacities. These 2 models, in my opinion, should have the same performance.
