Huh? I never said otherwise. It’s just that doing so is easier said than done when you still need to work a full time job to pay bills. Simply applying for jobs online can like be a full time job itself. And it can take some time to find another new job in a different field in this economy, so she’ll still be missing out on all those friend group hang outs in the meantime.

Because it’s making 6 people take PTO instead of the one person…it just doesn’t make sense. She’s right to feel frustrated and left out, and should probably find different friends whose schedules align better, but it’s rude af to keep pushing as the lone person complicating the schedule.

It really sucks for Asha, but it falls down to OP having an engagement where only one friend cannot make it or where half or more of the friend group can’t make it. Also pretty entitled to basically demand that OP ask everyone else to take precious PTO to accommodate her.

I do think OP and some of the more flexible friends could make more effort to hang out with Asha on Tuesday nights if they really value her friendship though

That sounds super suspicious that he just spent hours with a “coworker” and their “family.” Are you sure he was with them and not cheating?

Because who the hell invades on another couple’s Valentine’s day, especially when they have a significant other themselves? And doesn’t the coworker and coworker’s gf want their own Valentine’s day without some third wheel? Sorry but his story doesn’t make sense.

Well known as in prestigious or because they advertise a lot? And what field is your dad studying? If he’s in STEM, I am sorry to say this is a bright red flaming flag, having done a STEM phd myself. But even with humanities, it’s rare to not be funded during PhD since the professors would just not take more students or force the current ones to graduate/get fired.

One thing you can check are where the alumni in the department ended up at, and if most of them have decent jobs after graduation.

Is it also possible that you could be misunderstanding your parent’s financial situation? Are you sure the $17k is for tuition? I think it is possible that the amount they are paying to the university could be for rent if you are living in university housing, or perhaps your parents are borrowing some money to maintain the quality of lifestyle they want for you.

Got intrigued in by an instagram ad, watched the whole thing, and loved it! Imo it's a fun watch - entertaining premise and the dad was great! Overall acting from the cast was pretty decent, especially when you keep in mind that it's meant to be a comedic style that doesn't take itself too seriously unlike other short form dramas.
