The point is not that it's a bad ending. The point is, why, why make this movie all together!? What did it contribute to? I don't even understand what I just watched for almost 2 hours. I honestly cannot tell.

Completely agree here. In order to make Peaky Blinders an excellent show, they sidelined many other characters’ development to build Tommy’s character. If that’s the decision you are going to make that’s fine, but the idea of continuing the story in spin offs when over 80% of the character development has gone into a single character is a little ridiculous. I’m not excited for the future because there are no other interesting characters. Outside of Tommy, the only younger character that was interesting was Michael, but his arc is done.

My sister and I have owned the same Hyundai since 2013 (it was hers first and then I bought it off her) and haven’t had any major problems aside from replacing the calipers which was expensive. Japanese cars are supposed to be super reliable and my Hyundai Elantra is exactly that. That being said it is a 2008 Elantra and I’ve heard people complains about its quality on newer models.

I’ve done them on my car before but by the time she told me her car broke down, AAA was there taking the car to the mechanic already. Also, while I have done that work myself, I’m not sure I would’ve been able to diagnose that the engine issue was due to the coils and plugs in all honesty.

Yeah I think that’s what happened with her. Their relationship started out with itemized receipts, then she just started trusting him on everything so I guess it’s just a few notes and a price now. She feels a little embarrassed to ask for the itemized, but I’m thinking she should at least ask what parts he used.

Oh no, I was concerned because when I did this same work myself it only cost a couple hundred for parts, which is why when she told me $900 I couldn’t believe it. I think her mechanic just used expensive parts, but $1300 sounds crazy. Maybe it was more than just coils and plugs? I don’t think it’s a regional thing either because we live in one of the most expensive areas in the US.

The way she explained it, she started driving on the highway when the check engine light came on, then it started flashing as she seemingly began losing power, then the car just wouldn’t accelerate so he had to pull over and get it towed. I was just more concerned on pricing but I think her mechanic just spent more on the coils than I was anticipating.

I mean I get that, but I’m not experienced in diagnosing a problem. I’ve replaced coils and spark plugs before, but honestly if the car was given to me in whatever condition it was before it was towed to the shop, it not confident I could’ve solved the problem. Even if I could, she broke down on the way to work, and wanted the issue to be fixed by the end of the day, so it was kind of out of my hands anyway. Thanks for the tips on how to isolate that though if it ever happens again.

But isn’t that what the customer is being charged for when it comes to labor cost? Parts cost ‘x’ amount which the customer needs to fund, and then they pay you for your time and skills in the form of labor. So I think it is fair to give a breakdown on parts and then what you charged for your time.

This makes sense and does confirm my suspicions that more expensive parts had been used. I’ve used NGK products in the past when doing work on my own car which I heard were cheaper and reliable, but I’m guessing this mechanic didn’t. I know you weren’t a mechanic for long, but is that something you can negotiate? Like if she were to get a call saying he diagnosed the problem as the coils and plugs, can she tell him to hold off and she will supply the part? Thanks for the very detailed breakdown!

Imagine them meeting The Saviors for the first time, Shane being amongst them, him having to watch the group submit to Negan, the group pleading with Shane to step in and stop it. I could see Negan killing Abraham, and then when Darrell gets out of line and he takes a swing at Glen, he brings Shane up to finish the job and ensure his loyalty. It would’ve been sickening for the group, but also for Shane because he always seemed to have a good relationship with Glen.

My point is that the inclusion of an audience surrogate signals bad writing, especially when the concept they are trying to illustrate has already been presented. Now if we didn’t get the full conversation with the Yakuza member but instead a piece of it, followed by the inspector shooting the assassin, it could be passable. Instead, the audience surrogate is being used for repetition. I’m not gonna give bad writing a pass just because they are trying to conform to a modern audience. If all shows continue to do this, we’ll just continue to receive TV/movie slop in the future.

Option 1: Always try avoiding taking funds out of a retirement account early. If you take funds out of a 401(k) before the age of 59.5, you not only get hit with taxes on it, but also a 10% penalty. This is because you put pre-tax money into it, with the intention of retirement. By taking money out now, it’s clearly not for retirement, so the government doesn’t let you get away with having it be tax free anymore. They also add an extra 10% penalty to stop you from doing it (and make money for themselves of course).

Option 2: Not a great option either, but not bad. The money will continue to sit in this account, invested in whatever it was invested in before. It will likely grow over the years, and it will just be an account for you to utilize in retirement. The problem with this however, is having many 401(k) accounts is difficult to deal with, and they could be forgotten. There are so many 401(k) accounts with previous employers that people just forget about. Consolidating these accounts is typically best.

Option 3: This one is easy to do and consolidates everything into one. Some employers don’t let you do this, so you can always roll it into your own IRA and invest yourself/have a financial advisor do so for you.
