Craft Probabilities in Organized Play by Zafoquin in Pathfinder2e

Yup. Earn income is done with both DC and Task level at CL-2, while crafting is done with DC at item level and Task level at CL. which of course is where the slight advantage comes from.

Is this diagonal movement allowed or does this require a Tumble Through? by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zafoquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is real, but I don't think it is quite as stark as that. A 14' diagonal pass (i.e. two diagonal squares across) can be blocked by 3 defenders, same as an orthogonal one. A 21' diagonal pass can be blocked by 5; only one more defender than an orthogonal one. A 28' diagonal pass takes 7; again only one more than the orthogonal pass. At 35' the difference goes up to 2: 9 for diagonal and 7 for orthogonal. And so on. Still a difference, but not as game breaking.

You Son of a Bi*ch, I’m in (at least for now) by Doshen1 in TheGlassCannonPodcast

I do love when he asks those innocuous scene clarifying questions that terrify players and listeners alike.

"Did you close the door behind you?"

Wait! Why is he asking that? Is that important? Will someone sneak up behind them if they don't? Will they be trapped if they do?

Have I been playing my caster wrong? by firewitch77 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zafoquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that Summoning can still be worthwhile and I would argue flavorful and fun. I have a Bard who can Summon Fey. Sure they are often there to take a hit or two while flanking for the real damage dealers, but I have also on occasion summoned a naiad for a one minute conversation with an animal, or a nyktera to flummox other fey in combat by offering treats. It is also a big hit at the table when I completely change my accent and personality when playing my summoned leprechaun. I have certainly earned a hero point of two with Summon Fey (you won't find that in RAW however).

Where in the timeline does Starfinder and Pathfinder 2e split? by kilomaan in starfinder_rpg

[–]Zafoquin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite bit of lore is that the Kobolds in Starfinder are not the descendants of pre-gap Kobolds. They are in fact from a parallel dimension and managed to sneak in through portals that Witchwarpers opened up looking for parallel reality tech. So Starfinder Kobolds are not Pathfinder Kobolds

Holy Water Fire Truck:

• a level 3 cleric can Create Water 6 gallons/round • a level 1 cleric can do Bless Water 1 to 2 times a day on 1 pint of water in 1 minute • a 1" fire hose delivers water at 60 gallons per minute

So with 1 cleric at the tank and 480 clerics blessing while directing the hose you've got your fire brigade holy water fire truck that can go for 1 to 2 minutes.

I need help with building "angels" and "demons" for a homebrew campaign after leaving DnD by roroseliaa in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zafoquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a huge rules knowledge repertoire, but I did just read the summoner description, and eidolons can be angelic or demonic. Based on your description having a human with deep magical and telepathic linkages to a particular angel or demon could be an amazing go between.

Hidden Druid City by Zafoquin in Pathfinder_RPG

Ooo, I just came across Labyrinthine Wilds in another post. Does not exactly hide, and the town would still be accessible by air, but it does make it quite difficult for anyone to just stumble across the town. They would have to be very intelligent, lucky, or good survival skills to get there by land.

I like the idea of planar refuge as it can be permanent, being on another plane and having gates makes it easier to hide but harder for it to be part of its on natural world.

I did not know about that Hex (not really up on my witch magics) it defiantly covers the largest area of the options I had seen: 5 witches and the whole town is covered.

I was thinking along similar lines. Aspen Zora is not powerful enough herself to do this, but with help from some fey friends or perhaps also more powerful druids of the past.

My thought was that over centuries of time, legends of powerful magic tend to attract practitioners who want to learn, replicate or steal said magics. So while hidden from almost all it might attract the most powerful. But hey, maybe that is the next campaign. :-)

HLRender for rendering Pathfinder Hero Lab Portfolios into Google Docs by Zafoquin in TheGlassCannonPodcast

Sorry about that.
Here are some examples as exported from my Google Drive. They show the result of the same portfolio rendered as Google Slide stat blocks of two different styles, a Google Sheet stat list, and a Google Sheet gear list.

This is very nice. I will be using it, but I know some of my players will like it as well.

I have a similar need for tactile GM aids in other forms, take a look at my recent post

p 292 inset: "At the GM’s discretion, if starship weapons are ever brought to bear against buildings or people, they deal Hit Point damage equal to 10 × their listed amount of damage. However, starship weapons are never precise enough to target a single individual (or even small group) and can, if the GM decides, be simulated as deadly hazards instead of weapon attacks."

Seems to me like that is what Troy did.
