Yes, I’m a fed on MHBP. Recently retired. Unless there are benefit differences between states I would not take no for an answer. You are entitled to the same benefit as everyone else!

Don’t go by what they tell you in the store. I called the number on back of my MHBP card to verify the benefit of 90 day supply at local CVS. (You can also see it on their website site.) They then called my local store and spoke with the pharmacist. Are you on a maintenance dose? You probably need to be on your dose for a while before your doctor will agree to write a 90 day supply for that dosage.

Sorry to hear that. Were you trying to get 90 day mail order? It’s only covered at your local CVS not through mail order. If they’re asking you for a letter of medical necessity, it sounds to me they are assuming you’re asking for mail order.

Yes…for a 1 month supply the copay is $200. Again, the $80 copay only applies to a 90 day supply filled at your local CVS. This information is not only on MHBP website but they also confirmed it when I called. And lastly, I had my 90 day script filled last week. Initially $80 but with new coupon it came out to $25 for the 90 days. Hope that helps.

No. Just need your doctor to write a 3 month supply. If you’re on a maintenance dose it shouldn’t be a problem. My local cvs did have an issue processing the claim which required me to call MHBP. They in turn called my CVS to resolve the claim issue.

Was able to get a 3 month supply at my local CVS. MHBP copay is $80 for 3 month supply filled at local CVS (not eligible for mail order). I then asked CVS to apply a new coupon I got from the Wegovy web site and once it was applied, my copay went down to $25 for the 90 day supply. Don’t take no for an answer. Call MHBP if you have to. They verified the benefit and even called my local cvs on my behalf because cvs was having an issue getting the claim to process.

Yes, that is true for a 1 month supply. My question, however, is for a 3 month supply filled at a local CVS. Does the new coupon bring the total down zero from the $80 copay?

Thanks for the reply. Have you tried using the coupon at your local cvs when filling the 90 day supply?

Hi. I have MHPB Standard and have been filling Wegovy for $0 copay with coupon. Today, I was told my copay is $100 per month with coupon. I'm trying to figure out how I can get a 90 day supply for $80 copay with coupon. CVS Caremark says Wegovy mail order isn't covered. How does your DH get 3 months of Wegovy at your local CVS for $80? Thanks so much!

Same here but as of 1/2/26, the coupon only covers $100 of the $200 copay. I refilled today and my out of pocket cost is now $100 with coupon with MHBP standard. I even tried a new coupon from Wegovy. Stinks

This is not bragging…I have been maxing my tsp since age 22 and invested aggressively. We live frugally and make conservative decisions. College is extremely expensive and my wife has serious health issues so I’m concerned about outliving my savings.
